“My sessions”: what the learner sees, from booking to after the session
Everything a learner books with their account comes together in “My sessions”, in your academy's portal: their next session with its countdown and the room's door, their credit and what's left of it, their weekly slot if they subscribe, then what the teacher leaves after each session. This lesson shows the page as they see it, so you can explain it in one message and know where to look when they ask. We follow Amina in Ouargla, who bought a “Pack of 4 sessions” with Salim Bouzid at “Al-Ofok Academy”, Youcef in Oran with his weekly slot with Wafa Sellami every Tuesday, and Mehdi in Montreal, who sees everything on his own clock. The same page serves a trainee with a trainer, or a photographer's client whose work she reviews.
- About 5 minutes to read
- 7 steps
Who can do it: This is what the learner sees in the portal with their account at your academy (at its address: /sessions). No course enrolment needed; an account is enough. A guest booking made from the booking page stays on that booking's link.
In 7 steps
- 1“My sessions” opens on the next session: a countdown, the room's door opening 10 minutes before, then “Upcoming”, “Past” and “My work”.
- 2Each pack's card says what's left, with whom and until when, with “Book with it”.
- 3The weekly slot is managed from “Manage”: skip or move one week, pause, resume, or cancel the subscription.
- 4“Book a session” in the portal: no name or phone asked, their credit used by itself, the student price shown, suggestions first.
Show all
- 5Each session's page: the state, any payment left, the room or the place, the calendar, and moving or cancelling within the policy.
- 6After the session: the teacher's summary, homework ticked item by item, files, “Helpful” or “Not helpful”, and the recording if you share it.
- 7What brings them back: “Your next session” under “Waiting for you” on the home, then “Now” when the room opens, a dot on “Sessions” on the phone, notifications and reminders, and the freed-seat offer.
Before you explain it to your students
- Your portal's address, such as alofok.dirassaplus.com/sessions: the learner signs in there.
- At least one service visible as “Public” or “Your students” to book from the portal, and free times in “Your hours”.
- That your students book from their accounts, not as guests: that's how their sessions and credit gather in “My sessions”.
- Step 1 of 7
“My sessions”: the next session first
A header with their name, then the card of their next session with its countdown and room door, then lists of what's coming and what's past.
- The countdown“Your next session”: the title, “with Salim Bouzid”, the day and time on their clock, and time to go.
- The room's doorLocked with “opens at 16:50”, then “Enter the room” 10 minutes before.
- Three lists“Upcoming”, “Past” with their summaries, and “My work” for anyone who sent work to be reviewed.
TipWhile there's nothing yet, they read “No sessions yet” and “Book your first session”; at the bottom of the page a line reminds them that each booking shows its own policy on its page.
All the details
At the top, “Your sessions, Amina” and a line that changes: “Your next session first, then what comes after.” when one is booked, or “3 sessions of credit are waiting for you.” when there's credit and no booking; beside it, the “Book a session” button. Then the “Your next session” card: “Private review session”, “with Salim Bouzid · from your pack”, the time on her clock (“Tomorrow 17:00”) and a countdown in hours, minutes and seconds. Under it, the room's door: before the time, “The room link appears here 10 minutes before · opens at 16:50”; then the heading becomes “The room is open” and the button “Enter the room”; once it starts, “The session has started” and “The session has started · enter now”, with “Running late? You have 10 minutes of grace; after that it counts as absent.”. In person there's no door: “In-person session: the address and map are on the session page.”. Then three lists: “Upcoming” (each session with its title, time, teacher and state: “Confirmed”, “Waiting for the teacher”, “Waiting for payment”, and for a group “5 of 8 seats”), “Past” (a “Summary” badge on those you wrote a summary for, and under open homework “2 homework items open”) and “My work” when they sent work for review (“Send your work”, “Work received”, “In review”, “Answer arrived”, “Second review”, and “Answer before …”). Mehdi in Montreal reads “Tomorrow 12:00” with “17:00 in Algiers” under it.

And past 10 minutes late, you may mark them absent, and the session counts under your policy.
- Step 2 of 7
Packs: what's left, with whom, until when
Each active pack is a card: its title, the teacher, the expiry date, and the number of sessions left, large.
- What's leftA large number and “left”, and small bars, one per session left.
- Expiry“Expires 12 December · in 60 days”; the card turns warm in the last 7 days.
- Book with itThe “Book with it” button leads to booking, and the credit is used by itself when it covers the session.
TipCredit you grant by hand from “Learners” shows here the same way, with its name and length, and is used by itself.
All the details
Under the next session, one card per pack with credit that hasn't expired. For Amina: “Pack of 4 sessions”, “with Salim Bouzid · Expires 12 December · in 60 days”, at the edge “3” and “left”, three small bars under it, then “Book with it”. Credit is counted in minutes and shown as sessions of the pack's length, so there are no fractions. In the last week the date line turns to the warning colour, and “Your credit expires soon” may appear in “Suggested for you”. A pack with no end date says “No expiry date”. A session booked from a pack carries “from your pack” on the next-session card. If they cancel in time, the session goes back into their pack; if you cancel, it always comes back in full.
On screenleftBook with itNo expiry datefrom your packSuggested for youYour credit expires soonHeads-upAn expired pack disappears from “My sessions” and what was left can't be used. Point “Expires …” out to your students before the date; to make it up to someone, grant them new credit from “Learners”.
- Step 3 of 7
The weekly slot: one week at a time
Anyone with a monthly subscription to a weekly slot sees its card and state, and manages it from “Manage” without writing to you.
- Skip or move“Skip this week” (the session becomes credit) or “Move this week only” to another free time.
- Pause“Pause” for some weeks: the slot stays theirs, and the weeks are added to the end of the paid period.
- Resume or cancel“Resume” brings it back; “Cancel the subscription” stops renewal, and paid weeks still happen.
TipYoucef has exams in December: he pauses his slot for two weeks, loses neither session, “paid until” stretches by two weeks, and Tuesday 18:00 is still his when he's back.
All the details
Youcef's card: “Your weekly slot · active”, “Every Tuesday · 18:00”, “Fixed weekly slot · paid until 10 November”, and the “Manage” button. It opens the “This week” sheet, dated for the next session, with under its title “What you change here is for this week only, except pausing and cancelling.”. The choices: “Skip this week” (“You keep a session to book whenever you like.”): that week's session is cancelled and a session of credit of the same length is added, valid 60 days after the end of the paid period; “Move this week only” (“Your standing slot (Every Tuesday · 18:00) stays the same.”): he picks a free day and time around that week; “Pause” with “Number of weeks”: those weeks' sessions are cancelled, his slot stays held, and “paid until” moves on by as many weeks; “Cancel the subscription” (“It runs until 10 November, then doesn't renew.”). A paused slot shows “Weekly slot · paused” and two choices, “Resume” (“Your weekly slot comes back from next week.”) and “Cancel the subscription”. Other states: “waiting for renewal” when renewal is near and unpaid, “cancelled”, “ended”.
On screenYour weekly slot · activepaid until {date}ManageThis weekSkip this weekMove this week onlyPauseNumber of weeksResumeCancel the subscriptionWeekly slot · pausedWeekly slot · waiting for renewalHeads-upSkipping and moving are accepted up to the service policy's move limit (6 hours before, at first), then refused. A pause can't go beyond the “Freeze” you set for the subscription in “Packs and subscriptions” (14 days at first): the sheet offers up to 4 weeks, but anything past your limit is refused. Raise the “Freeze” to allow more.
- Step 4 of 7
Booking from the portal: nothing to ask, their credit first
“Book a session” in the portal knows who they are: no name or phone asked, their credit used by itself, the student price shown.
- Credit first“Your credit: 3 sessions” at the top, and “Used by itself when it covers the session · no payment”.
- Suggested for themWhat fits their course, another session with their teacher, or credit about to expire comes first, marked “Suggested for you”.
- If there's something to payA paid booking opens its order in “My orders” to pay by card or receipt.
TipThe “Fits where you are in your course” suggestion comes from the services you linked to a course in “Linked courses”. Link your review session to your course: it shows here for its students, and on the course page.
All the details
The “Book a session” button opens /sessions/book: “Book a session” and “What you can book at Al-Ofok Academy, at your student price.”, then the credit line, “Your credit: 3 sessions” and “Used by itself when it covers the session · no payment”. Then one list: each service with its kind, length (“60 min”), teacher and nearest time (“Next time: tomorrow 17:00”, or “3 left · …” for a group), your student price if you set one with the normal price struck through under it; what the engine suggests comes first with “Suggested for you”. Choosing a service leads to /sessions/book/…: a head with the kind, title, length, teacher and “Instant confirmation” or “Teacher approves”, then “From your credit · 3 sessions left” if they have credit, or the price and “Student price”, and the line “Free cancellation up to 24 h before · 2 moves per booking”. Beside it, the same panel as on the site (“Time”, “Your details”, “Payment”), but “Your details” only says “You are booking as Amina.”. If their credit covers it, the button is “Book with my credit · Thursday 15 · 17:00” and there's no payment step; if something is due, their order opens afterwards in “My orders” with the same payment pieces (card or receipt). At the bottom of “My sessions”, “Suggested for you” shows up to three lines, each with its reason: “Fits where you are in your course”, “Another session with the same teacher”, “Your credit expires soon”, and the “Book” button.

And a “Private link” service isn't in this list: it's booked from its link.
- Step 5 of 7
The session page: state, room, and changes within the policy
Each session has its page /sessions/…: every notification leads there, and it says what's left for them to do.
- If there's something to pay“Finish paying · 2,500 DZD” opens their order; “Payment proof received” while the receipt waits for your decision.
- Room or placeThe door opens 10 minutes before, or the address and “Open the map”, then “Add to your calendar”.
- Move or cancel“Change the time” and “Cancel the booking”, with a sheet that first says what comes back now.
TipIn the last hours the cancel sheet doesn't lead with cancelling: it shows “Before you cancel”, with the academy on WhatsApp, the 10 minutes of grace and the room from a phone. Many no-shows are saved right there.
All the details
At the top, “My sessions” to go back, then “#B-1042 · Salim Bouzid”, the title and the state badge, then the date card on their clock (and abroad “Your time (Montréal) · 17:00 in Algiers”). Depending on the state: “Finish paying · 2,500 DZD” and “The time is held for you until you pay. Open the order to pay by card or receipt.” (it opens their order in “My orders”), or “Payment proof received” and “The teacher checks it and confirms your session.”, or “Your request is with Salim Bouzid. They usually answer within a day, by notification.”. Once confirmed: the room's door (“The room link appears here 10 minutes before · opens at 16:50”, then “Enter the room”), or in person the place, its address and “Open the map”; then “Add to your calendar” (Google, Apple, Outlook) and “Reminders 24 h and 1 h before, by notification and email, on your clock.”. Under it, “Change the time” (with the moves left) and “Cancel the booking” (or “Cancel the request” before it's confirmed), with the same two sheets as the booking page on your site: the first line is the decision, such as the session going back to their pack in full for a pack session, then the policy's stages and an optional reason the teacher reads. A closed session (cancelled, declined, expired) ends with “Book another session”.
On screenFinish paying · {amount}Payment proof receivedOpen the mapAdd to your calendarChange the timeCancel the bookingCancel the requestBook another sessionMy ordersHeads-up“Change the time” only shows for a confirmed session with moves left before the policy's limit (6 hours at first), and never for a work review. For a “Teacher approves” service the change becomes a request waiting for you in “Requests › Moves”.
- Step 6 of 7
After the session: summary, homework, files and feedback
What you publish after the session reaches its page with a notification, and the learner ticks their homework item by item.
- Summary and files“The teacher's summary” as you wrote it, and the “Files” to open in a tap.
- HomeworkEach item has a box; above them, “2 of 3 left” or all done.
- Their feedback“How was the session?”: “Helpful” or “Not helpful”, and an optional line for you. No stars.
TipIn “Past”, every session with a summary carries the “Summary” badge, and under those with homework still open a line gives the count: a quick way for Amina to see what's waiting before her next session.
All the details
When you publish the wrap-up they get “Your summary and homework are ready”, and on the session page: “The teacher's summary” (the shared part only; your private notes stay hidden), then “Homework”, each item with its box and its date if you set one (“before Sunday 18 October”), above them “2 of 3 left” or all done, and you see it when they tick; then “Files”. Before you publish, they read “The teacher writes a summary and homework after the session; they arrive here and as a notification.”. After a session they attended: “How was the session?” with “Helpful” and “Not helpful”, then “A line for the teacher · optional” and “Send my feedback”. If you both agreed to record the session and you shared the recording, “Session recording” appears with “Shared by the teacher. Deleted after 30 days unless they keep it.”. For a work review, a section for its state: “Send your work for review” (they upload files from here), “Work received”, “Your work is in review” with “Answer before …”, then “The teacher's answer arrived” and “The answer to your work is here: summary, notes and files.”; it stays in “My work” for 30 days after the answer.

The recording only appears if you share it, and it's deleted after 30 days unless you keep it.
- Step 7 of 7
What brings them back to “My sessions”: home, the dot, notifications
The learner has nothing to remember: a row under “Waiting for you” on the home that becomes “Now” when the room opens, a dot on “Sessions” on the phone, and reminders 24 h and 1 h before.
- On the home“Next session · in 3 h 20 min” under “Waiting for you”, then the “Now” card and “Enter the room” when it opens.
- Reminders“Reminder: … tomorrow”, “In one hour: …”, then “The room is open”, by notification and email.
- A freed seat“A seat freed up for you in “…”” at the top of “My sessions”, with its deadline and “Confirm”.
TipThe 24 h reminder goes to anyone who booked at least 20 hours ahead, the one-hour reminder to anyone who booked at least an hour and a half ahead: a last-minute booking doesn't get needless reminders. They're turned on and off in “Booking settings”.
All the details
On the home page, the session waits under “Waiting for you”: a row with its title, and below it “Next session · in 3 h 20 min · 17:00” once less than a day is left (before that, “Your next session” with the day and time); it opens the session's page. When the room opens, 10 minutes before, the session moves to the top of the page and becomes the “Now” card: “Now · The room is open” (then “The session has started”), the title, “with Salim Bouzid · 17:00”, and “Enter the room”, the page's only orange button; the lesson of their course, if they follow one, stays below it with an outlined button. With no session booked but credit left, “Waiting for you” shows “Credit: 3 sessions” with “Expires 12 December” (or “Expires in 5 days · book before” in the last week) and “Book”. And a learner with no course who has a session or credit sees their home open on “Your one-to-one sessions” and “Book your session”, with “Browse courses” beside it. On a phone, when a confirmed session starts within 24 hours, the fourth tab of the bottom bar becomes “Sessions” with a small dot. Notifications arrive in the bell, and on the phone if the academy's app is installed, each with “Open the session”: “Reminder: Private review session tomorrow” 24 h before, “In one hour: Private review session”, and “The room is open” 10 minutes before for sessions in the room or by link; and also “Booking confirmed: …”, “Booking moved: …”, “The teacher cancelled — your credit is back”, “The group session is off — credit returned”, “Your summary and homework are ready”. Both reminders also arrive by email. And when a seat frees up in a group they were waiting for: “A seat opened for you!”, and at the top of “My sessions” “A seat freed up for you in “Group English conversation””, “Held for you until 15:40 (Algiers time)” and “Confirm”: they confirm it with their credit or by card before the deadline.

Once you've explained “My sessions”
- Your site's booking pageWhat a visitor sees before becoming a student: /book and guest booking.
- Packs and subscriptionsThe pack of 4, the weekly slot and the “Freeze”.
- The session roomWhat happens when they press “Enter the room”, and recording only when you both agree.
- After the sessionThe summary they receive, homework and files, and Noqta drafting it.
Questions
My student booked as a guest before creating their account and can't find the session in “My sessions”. Why?
“My sessions” only gathers what was booked with the account. A guest booking stays on its page on your site (/book/b/…), opened from the browser that booked it, and isn't moved into an account created later. For the next ones, they should book from their account so they show here with their credit.
Why doesn't my student see “Change the time”?
It only shows for a confirmed session, while moves are left (2 at first) and before the policy's limit (6 hours before, at first), and never for a work review. After that, “Cancel the booking” remains at your policy's percentage, or a message to the academy from “Before you cancel”.
They asked to pause their weekly slot for three weeks and it was refused. Why?
A pause can't go beyond the “Freeze” set for the monthly subscription in “Packs and subscriptions”: 14 days at first. Raise it to allow more; otherwise they can pause two weeks and skip the third.
Does the student see my private notes on the session?
No. They only see what you publish for them: the shared summary, homework and files. Private notes stay with you and whoever works in your calendar.
Where does the student enter the room?
Wherever they find the session: the “Your next session” card in “My sessions”, the “Now” card the session becomes on the home when the room opens, the session page, or the “The room is open” notification. The door opens 10 minutes before, and the room runs in the browser with no app.
My student is abroad: on which clock do they see their sessions?
On their device's clock, with Algiers time under every time: Mehdi in Montreal reads “Tomorrow 12:00” with “17:00 in Algiers” under it. Reminders reach him on his clock, and you see the same booking in Algiers time.
What happens to a pack session if they cancel it?
It depends on your policy and the timing: before 24 h the session goes back to their pack in full, between 24 h and 6 h half comes back, in the last hours it counts (default values). The sheet tells them before they confirm. And if you cancel, it always comes back in full.
