The Dirassa+ guide
Getting started

Phone app: install your workspace and turn notifications on

Your Dirassa+ workspace installs on your phone as an app: an icon on the Home Screen that opens your workspace in one tap, and a notification for every sale, receipt and question, even with the app closed. No store, no download: it installs from the browser in seconds and updates itself. It all lives on the “Phone app” page (“My account” → “Phone app”): whether the app is installed on this device, its notifications, what reaches you, and when. The example: Sara Makhloufi, video-editing trainer at “En-Nadjah Academy”, wants her phone to ring for every sale, and her assistant Karim Haddad for every student question. The same path for a fitness coach selling programmes, or a maths teacher following her class’s papers.

  • About 3 minutes
  • 5 steps

Who can do it: Every team member installs the app and turns notifications on for themselves, on their own devices. Nobody sets it for someone else, and the page needs no special permission.

In 5 steps

  1. 1Install the app: “Install the app” in your account menu, then your browser’s steps.
  2. 2Turn notifications on: open Dirassa+ from the Home Screen, then “Turn on notifications” and “Send a test notification”.
  3. 3Pick in “What reaches your phone” the groups worth ringing your phone for.
  4. 4“Quiet hours”: your phone stays silent, and what arrives waits for you when they end.

  1. 5On a computer: scan “Take your workspace to your phone”, or send your team the link dirassaplus.com/app.

Before you start

  • A phone with a recent browser: Safari or Chrome on iPhone (iOS 16.4 or later for notifications), Chrome or Samsung Internet on Android.
  • If you open the link from Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or TikTok, you’ll need to open it in your browser first.
  • Your account in the workspace whose notifications you want: each device follows one.
  1. Step 1 of 5

Install the app on your phone

One button opens your own browser’s steps, and your workspace becomes an icon on the Home Screen.

    • From where?Your account menu → “Install the app”, or the “Install Dirassa+ on your phone” card on Home.
    • iPhoneShare → “Add to Home Screen” → “Add”.
    • Inside Facebook or WhatsApp?“Open the link in your browser first”: nothing installs from inside those apps.

TipOnce the app runs from the Home Screen, the install row leaves your account menu, and “Phone app” says it is installed.

    All the details

Three doors on a phone: in your account menu (your picture), the “Install the app” row; on the workspace’s Home, the “Install Dirassa+ on your phone” card with “Install” and “Hide” (it hides for a month); and in “My account” → “Phone app”, the “Install the app” button in the “This device” card. The button opens the steps: first “Install”, then “Turn on notifications”. In Chrome the browser’s own prompt may show straight away: tap “Install”; otherwise your browser’s steps: iPhone and iPad — the Share button (a square with an arrow) → “Add to Home Screen” → “Add” at the top (from Safari, and from Chrome in recent versions). Samsung Internet — ☰ at the bottom → “Add page to” → “Home screen” → “Add”. Chrome on Android — ⋮ at the top → “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” → “Install”. Inside Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or TikTok the window says “Open the link in your browser first”: ⋮ or ⋯ → “Open in browser” (on iPhone “Open in Safari”), or “Open in Chrome” on Android, or “Copy link” and paste it in your browser. After installing, open Dirassa+ from the Home Screen: step 2 is waiting. Example: Sara, on an iPhone, taps “Install the app”, follows the three steps, and the Dirassa+ icon appears among her apps.

Heads-upIf you can’t find the option on Android, open the page in Chrome and try again; on iPhone, open it in Safari.

  2. Step 2 of 5

Turn notifications on for this device

Open Dirassa+ from its icon: step two asks you to “Turn on notifications”.

    • Step 2First launch from the Home Screen: “Turn on notifications”, then accept the phone’s request.
    • Check“Send a test notification” arrives within seconds.
    • Per deviceTurn it on for every phone and computer you want; “Turn off for this device” stops that one alone.

TipWork in more than one workspace? Each device follows one: the last one you turned it on from. Switch to the workspace you want, then turn it on from “Phone app”.

    All the details

The first time you open Dirassa+ from the Home Screen, the “Turn on notifications” window shows: a new sale and its amount, a receipt waiting for your review, a new student and a question from your students. Tap “Turn on notifications” and accept the phone’s request, then “Choose what reaches you”; or “Later” (it comes back a week later). You can also turn them on any time from “My account” → “Phone app”: in the “This device” card, the “Notifications” row with its status “On”, “Off” or “Blocked”, and the “Turn on for this device” button; then “Done. Try “Send a test notification”.”. Under the card, the number of your devices and the “Send a test notification” button, which arrives within seconds. “Turn off for this device” stops only the device you’re reading on. On iPhone, notifications only reach the installed app, so the page offers “Install the app” instead until you open it from the Home Screen. On Android and computers you can turn them on straight from the browser. Example: Karim turns them on for his phone and the office computer, and sees two devices on.

Heads-up“Blocked” means you refused them: on iPhone, Settings → Notifications → Dirassa+; in the browser, the lock beside the address → Notifications → Allow, then refresh. If “No device accepted the notification.” shows, turn it off and on again on the device that gets nothing.

  3. Step 3 of 5

    “What reaches your phone”

Six groups, each with its switch: choose what deserves to ring your phone.

    • Money and students“Sales and payments” and “New students”.
    • Questions and work“Questions and messages”, “Marking”, “Sessions and lives”, “Tasks and school”.
    • Security, alwaysPayout account, address and domain alerts reach you any time.

TipTurning a group off only silences the phone: everything stays in the workspace’s Inbox as before.

    All the details

“Choose what deserves to ring your phone. Everything stays in the inbox inside the workspace.” The six groups: “Sales and payments” — every sale, every receipt waiting for your review, store orders. “New students” — the day’s summary and requests to join your spaces. “Questions and messages” — space questions, “Support”, messages from your site’s visitors, and replies to your posts. “Marking” — papers waiting for your marking, grouped. “Sessions and lives” — bookings and reminders for the sessions and lives you give. “Tasks and school” — Organization tasks and their reminders, and school notifications. Each switch saves itself as it moves. At the bottom: “Security alerts (payout account, address, domain) always reach you.” Example: Sara keeps “Sales and payments” and turns off “New students”; Karim keeps only “Questions and messages”.

Heads-upIf “Choosing is coming soon. Until then, everything reaches you.” shows, the switches are still disabled and every notification reaches your phone.

  4. Step 4 of 5

    “Quiet hours”

Hours when your phone stays silent; what arrives waits for you when they end.

    • From … toTwo hours in Algiers time, for example from 22:00 to 07:00.
    • Nothing is lostWhat arrives waits for you when they end, and in the Inbox.
    • Security ringsSecurity alerts reach you any time.

TipThese are the phone’s hours for everything from Dirassa+. The “Quiet hours” in “Organization settings” only cover Organization notifications.

    All the details

In the “Quiet hours” card: “Your phone stays silent during these hours. What arrives waits for you when they end.” Switch on “Turn on quiet hours”: “From” and “to” appear, in whole hours, “Algiers time”; start and end can’t be the same hour, and it saves itself. Security alerts reach you any time. Example: Sara picks 22:00 to 07:00: a midnight sale doesn’t wake her, and she finds it on her phone at seven.

Heads-upThe switch stays disabled while “What reaches your phone” says “Choosing is coming soon.”: until then the phone rings at any hour.

  5. Step 5 of 5

From a computer: take your workspace to your phone

On a computer, a QR code opens your workspace on the phone, with the install steps.

    • On a computerYour account menu → “Phone app” → the “Take your workspace to your phone” card.
    • ScanPhone camera → the link → the install steps → notifications.
    • For your teamSend dirassaplus.com/app: an install page for everyone on your team.

TipThe code opens your own workspace: if the phone isn’t signed in, it signs in first, then the install steps show.

    All the details

On a computer, the account menu row is called “Phone app” and opens the same page. It has the “Take your workspace to your phone” card: scan the code with the phone’s camera, tap the link that appears, your workspace opens with the install steps, then turn notifications on. The “Copy link” button sends it to your phone another way. You can also install it on the computer with “Install on this computer” (the install icon in the address bar in Chrome or Edge). For your team: the public page dirassaplus.com/app — “The Dirassa+ app for teachers” — and its “Open my workspace and install” button; someone not signed in signs in and the install steps show at once. Opened from Facebook or WhatsApp, it first asks to open the browser; on a computer it shows “On a computer?” with a QR code. Example: Sara sends the link in the team’s WhatsApp group, and Karim installs the app in a minute.

After installing

Questions

Do I need Google Play or the App Store?

No. The app installs from the browser itself in seconds, with no store and no download, and updates itself with the platform.

Why don’t notifications reach my iPhone?

On iPhone they only reach the installed app (iOS 16.4 or later). Install it with Share → “Add to Home Screen”, open it from its icon, then “Turn on notifications” and “Send a test notification”.

I opened the link from WhatsApp and can’t find the install, why?

Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok don’t let you install a site from inside them. Tap ⋮ or ⋯ → “Open in browser” (on iPhone “Open in Safari”), or “Copy link” and paste it in your browser, then “Install the app” again.

Does the notification arrive when I’m not using the phone?

Yes, even with the app closed, as long as notifications are “On” for this device and you’re outside your “Quiet hours”.

Can I turn notifications off without losing anything?

Yes. “Turn off for this device” or turning a group off in “What reaches your phone” only silences the phone; everything stays in the workspace’s Inbox.

Does my assistant see my notifications?

No. Each member turns them on for themselves on their own devices, and gets what their permissions allow: whoever holds “Answer support” gets student questions, for example.

I work in two schools: which one notifies me?

Each device follows one workspace: the last one you turned it on from. Switch to the other, then “Turn on for this device” in “Phone app”.
