How to set up your course’s settings and price on Dirassa+

Everything that defines your course and how it sells, on one page split into sections: the cover, the details, the format, the category, the price, then managing the course, with the button that opens sales. Every field is explained here, with what changes for your students after each choice, on a real course: “Mathematics — Bac 2026”.

  • About 9 minutes
  • 9 steps

Who can do it: Saving needs “Edit own courses” (or “Edit any course”); changing the price, publishing and archiving need “Publish and price”; deleting needs “Delete a course”; duplicating needs “Create a course”.

In 9 steps

  1. 1Open your course: the header above the tabs carries its status, its figures and the publish button.
  2. 2In “Cover”, press “Upload image”: it saves as soon as it uploads; without an image, pick a shade of the automatic colour.
  3. 3Fill in “About”, “Format” and “Category”: title and descriptions, online, in person or hybrid, then field, topic and level.
  4. 4In “Price”, pick one of four: “Free”, “One price”, “Instalments” or “Subscription”, with what students see and how they pay underneath.
Show all
  1. 5For a subscription, add plans with a length and a price, up to 6; students pick theirs at checkout.
  2. 6As soon as you change something, the “You have unsaved changes” bar appears: “Save changes” or “Discard”.
  3. 7Press “Publish course” once the status card says the course is ready and payments are ready too.
  4. 8Check the course in “As student” and polish the “Course page”.
  5. 9In “Manage course”, archive a course you no longer sell; deleting is refused while anyone depends on it.

Before you start

  • A created course; if you haven’t made one, start with the “Create a course” lesson.
  • The “Edit own courses” permission in your role, or “Edit any course”.
  • A cover image at 2:1 if you can (JPG, PNG or WebP up to 15 MB); without one, an automatic cover is drawn in its field’s colour.
  • Your price decision: free, one payment, installments or a timed subscription.
  • At least one payment method ready if the course is paid.
  1. Step 1 of 9

The course header and its tabs

Open your course from “Courses”. In the header: “All courses” to go back, the cover and title, the status badge “Draft” or “Published”, then its figures: the lessons and how many are published, the length of the published lessons, the level and the format. On the other side: the globe “View public page”, the “Page studio” and the “Publish course” button. Below it, the tabs: “Curriculum” chapters and lessons; “As student” the course as an enrolled student sees it; “Course page” the sales page; “Payments” how the student pays; “Papers” practice, tests and exams; “Students” who is enrolled; “Groups” cohorts and their start dates; “Analytics” enrollment and completion; “Certificate” the course’s certificate; and “Settings & pricing”, the subject of this lesson. “Papers”, “Students”, “Groups” and “Certificate” only show for members with the matching permission.

On screenAll coursesDraftPublishedView public pagePage studioPublish courseCurriculumAs studentCourse pagePaymentsPapersStudentsGroupsAnalyticsCertificateSettings & pricing

TipThe header and the publish button stay with you on every tab: no need to go back to settings to publish.

  2. Step 2 of 9

    The cover

The page is made of sections: each one’s name and a line about it on one side, its card on the other; on a phone the name sits above its card. The first is “Cover”: “The image saves as soon as it uploads; the automatic colour saves with your other changes.” Press “Upload image” under the frame, or drag an image onto it: it is compressed in your browser and converted to WebP before uploading, and you see what you saved, e.g. “Optimized — saved 2.1 MB”. The image saves on its own the moment it uploads, no button needed; the button then reads “Replace image”, with “Remove” beside it. Underneath, “No image? An automatic colour”: five shades for the cover drawn in your course field’s colour and mark, as one flat colour. The shade is a setting like the others: it waits for “Save changes”, and when the course has an image it says “— shown if you remove the image”.

On screenCoverUpload imageDrag an image here or click to chooseReplace imageRemoveJPG · PNG · WebP · up to 15 MB — 2:1 ratio recommendedThe image saves as soon as it uploads. No image? An automatic colour

TipA 2:1 ratio (say 1600×800) fills the course card and page without awkward cropping. Courses with a cover get opened far more often in the catalog.

Heads-up“Remove” acts at once, without asking: the image is deleted and the automatic cover returns in its shade.

  3. Step 3 of 9

    About, format and category

In “About”: “Course title” (2 to 140 characters), “Short description” shown under the title (up to 200 characters) and the “Full description”, the one that sells the course (up to 5000 characters). Under each field a counter such as “24/140” changes colour near the limit, and under the description “At least 80 characters to complete the course status.” until it is long enough: “Long enough for the course page.”. Beside both descriptions, “Write with Noqta” or “Reword it”: Noqta writes them from the course’s chapters and lessons. In “Format”: “Online”, “In person” or “Hybrid”, with a line under it explaining your choice; for in person and hybrid, “Where?”: the wilaya and the place, optional, shown to your students. In “Category”: the “Field”, which colours the cover and suggests topics, then the “Topic” and “Level” from the chips, or “Another topic” and “Another level” in your own words.

On screenAboutCourse titleShort descriptionFull descriptionWrite with NoqtaReword itFormatOnlineIn personHybridWhere?WilayaCategoryFieldSomething elseTopicAnother topicLevelAnother level

TipExample: “Mathematics — Bac 2026”, short description “Complete BAC preparation with a simplified method”, field “School”, topic “Mathematics”, level “Secondary 3”. The status card’s notes on the cover, the description or the price lead straight to their section here, which lights up for a moment.

Heads-upThe “Format” is a label for students and changes nothing about how the course works: dates and capacity are set per group, in “Groups”.

  4. Step 4 of 9

The price: four ways, one grid

The “Price” section (“How much students pay, and how.”) offers four choices in a two-by-two grid, each with its line: “Free”, open to anyone who enrolls, no payment method needed. “One price”, one payment and permanent access: a “Price” in dinars from 100 to 1,000,000 DZD. “Instalments”: a “Full amount” from 200 to 2,000,000 DZD, a “Number of payments” from 2 to 12 and “Every how many days?” from 7 to 90, with the schedule line underneath, e.g. “3 × 4,000 DZD · every 30 days — the first one at enrollment”; each payment is at least 100 DZD. “Subscription” is the next step. Each model keeps its numbers while the page is open: try “Instalments”, go back to “One price”, and your price is still there. At the bottom of the card, “Students see:” and the price as they will read it, then the payment line “Students pay with: …” listing the methods ready for this course, with “Manage” leading to “Payments”; when none is ready it says in red “No payment method is ready: students won’t be able to pay.”.

On screenPriceFreeOne priceInstalmentsSubscriptionFull amountNumber of paymentsEvery how many days?Students see:Manage

TipExample: one price of 4,500 DZD, or 12,000 DZD in 3 payments every 30 days. With instalments, access lasts until the next due date and pauses while a payment is overdue; after the last one it becomes permanent, with no automatic debit or late fees.

Heads-upChanging the price needs the “Publish and price” permission: without it, only the chosen model stays visible, locked, with “Changing the price needs the “Publish and price courses” permission.”. In a school, the “School price rules” box shows before you save: the allowed range, or “The director sets this course’s price.”, and what needs the director’s approval.

  5. Step 5 of 9

Subscriptions: plans with a set length

“Subscription” (monthly, yearly or a fixed span) sells access for a span of time. Each plan is a row: its “Length”, a number and a unit (“Day”, “Month” or “Year”), its “Price” from 100 to 2,000,000 DZD, and “Per month”, its monthly price such as “≈ 1,250 DZD/mo”, so students can see the better deal, then the bin. Under the rows, “Add a plan:” with “Monthly” (a month at 1,500 DZD), “Yearly” (a year at 15,000 DZD) and “Custom length” (3 months at 4,000 DZD); then adjust, up to 6 plans, each at most 365 days, 36 months or 5 years. Students pick a plan at checkout, in “Access duration”, and access ends when its length does; they can add more time without losing the days left. It is the only setting here that gives access an end date.

On screenSubscriptionLengthDayMonthYearPricePer monthAdd a plan:MonthlyYearlyCustom lengthAccess duration

TipPrices here are in dinars. Prices in other currencies, for selling outside Algeria, come from “Selling abroad” in the workspace settings and aren’t typed here. Changing a plan’s length makes it a new plan: whoever bought the old one keeps what they bought.

Heads-upWithout at least one plan, the course can’t be bought: “Add at least one option so the course can be bought.”. And each plan needs a payment method: if one has none, the payment line says “Part of what you sell has no payment method ready.”.

  6. Step 6 of 9

Saving, and what isn’t saved yet

Nothing on this page saves on its own except the cover image: a price is money, so it is never written without your decision. While everything is as saved, you read “All changes saved” under the cards. Change any field and a bar fixed to the bottom of the screen appears: “You have unsaved changes”, with “Discard”, which puts everything back, and “Save changes”, then the only orange button: “Publish course” in the header steps back to a plain button until you save. Once saved, “Saved” shows and the bar goes away. If the save is refused, none of it is saved: the bar says “Nothing was saved: fix the fields marked in red.”, each field says why with its limit, such as “The price is at least 100 DZD.”, and the cursor moves to the first of them. Press a tab or a link before saving and a “You have unsaved changes” popup asks: “Save and leave”, “Discard them” or “Stay here”; closing or reloading the page asks the browser’s own question.

On screenAll changes savedYou have unsaved changesDiscardSave changesSavedNothing was saved: fix the fields marked in red.Save and leaveDiscard themStay here

Tip“Save and leave” only takes you on if the save lands: if it is refused, you stay on the page with what needs fixing.

Heads-upWithout “Edit own courses”, you see the page as it is: “You don’t have permission to edit this course; you see it as it is.”, and no save bar.

  7. Step 7 of 9

    Publishing, and what it changes

The “Publish course” button in the header, on every tab, is never locked. When no lesson is published, a “Before publishing” popup opens: “No lesson is published yet: anyone who enrols now will find nothing to learn.”, with the ready lessons to publish along with it (“Publish with 2 ready lessons” or “Publish the course alone”), or “Write “…”” and “Publish now” when nothing is ready. If the course is paid and your academy has no payment method ready for it, a popup asks before anything goes out: “Your students can’t pay yet” — “This course is paid, and your academy has no payment method ready yet: anyone who opens its page won’t find a way to pay.” It offers “Add a CCP or BaridiMob account”: the same account window as in “Payments”, over the course and with its rules; the transfer switches on as the account is saved, then the course is published. Or “Publish now, I’ll add a payment method later”, which publishes as asked. Someone without the “Payment settings” permission reads, in place of the first button, “The academy’s owner, or whoever manages its payments, adds it.”. What is missing is no longer written under the button: the status card above “Curriculum” says it, with a “notes” button for what deserves a look, such as “An offer with no payment method” when the course is paid with no method available, or a plan has none, and “Fix it” takes you to “Payments”. Once published, the badge turns “Published”: students can buy and enroll, and enrolled students see its published lessons. A draft course can’t be bought. The button itself becomes “Published” with an arrow, which opens “View as a student” and “Unpublish…”.

On screenPublish courseBefore publishingPublish the course alonePublish nowYour students can’t pay yetAdd a CCP or BaridiMob accountPublish now, I’ll add a payment method laterAn offer with no payment methodPublishedView as a studentUnpublish…Unpublish the course?Yes, unpublish

TipThe “Page published · enrollment closed” badge means the sales page is visible but the course is still a draft: visitors can read about it but can’t buy until you publish.

Heads-up“Unpublish…” asks first, “Unpublish the course?”: “Unpublishing stops new enrolments only; enrolled students keep their access.”, then “Yes, unpublish”. The course goes back to a draft nobody new can buy, and its students keep their access: a subscriber renews, an installment payer pays the next one.

  8. Step 8 of 9

See it as a student, and polish the sales page

Before and after publishing, two tabs round off the settings. “As student” works the curriculum out with your unlock rules: choose the “Student day:” and “Earlier lessons:” and you see e.g. “Open now: 4 of 9 lessons · 0% progress”. The “Course page” builds the sales page and saves on its own: the “Marketing headline”, “What will students learn?” up to 8 points, “Frequently asked questions” up to 10, and the “Free lessons (preview)” choice: “With a free account” or “Open to everyone”. A course you create now starts on “Open to everyone”: any visitor opens its free lesson without an account; older courses keep their choice, “With a free account” unless you changed it. With “With a free account”, the visitor is sent to create an account, not to sign in: “Create your account to watch “…” for free” and “A free lesson from “…”. One account is enough, no payment.”, with the sign-in link for anyone who already has an account, then back to the same lesson. For full control of the layout: “Open the studio”.

TipA headline like “From zero to 18/20 in mathematics” tells a visitor in one sentence what they’ll get.

  9. Step 9 of 9

    Manage course: archiving and deleting

The last section, “Manage course” (“Stop selling it, or delete it.”), only shows when you have something to do there. On a published course, the “Archive course” row: “It stops selling and leaves your school’s pages; whoever has it keeps it.” Press “Archive course…” and the “Archive this course?” popup gives the counts, “Enrolled students”, “Active subscribers” and “Open installment plans”, and says what happens: nobody new buys it, its students keep learning, subscribers and installment payers renew and pay as before. Then confirm with “Archive course”. The row becomes “Course archived”, with “Restore as draft”, and you publish it again when you want. In the “Delete course” row, the “Delete course…” button: if the course has an enrolled student, an open payment order, an unused activation card or an open installment plan, the popup says “This course can’t be deleted” with the counts, and offers “Archive it instead”. If nobody depends on it, “Delete this course for good?” opens: type the course title exactly, then “Delete for good”; its chapters, lessons, exams and page are deleted with no way back.

On screenManage courseArchive courseArchive course…Archive this course?Course archivedRestore as draftDelete courseDelete course…This course can’t be deletedArchive it insteadDelete this course for good?Delete for good

TipFor a new season, don’t delete or archive: on the course card in “Courses”, press “…” then “Duplicate…”; the “Duplicate the course” window suggests the name “Mathematics — Bac 2026 (copy)”, which you can change, then “Create the copy”: a draft is created with its curriculum, lessons, unlock rules, papers, price and cover, without the students, groups or orders, and you land on it. The copy shares the original’s videos and files instead of copying them.

Heads-upArchiving and restoring need “Publish and price”; deleting needs “Delete a course”. The database itself refuses to delete a course anyone depends on, so a delete never erases a student’s enrollment or payment.

Questions

What happens to enrolled students if I change the price?

Nothing changes for anyone already in: an enrolled student keeps their access, and a student paying in instalments finishes with the amount, count and interval they started with. The new price applies to every new order, subscription renewals included. Orders opened with nothing paid yet by “Cash on delivery” or by card (“EDAHABIA & CIB — Chargily” or “Visa / Mastercard”) are cancelled, so the student sees the new price when they come back to pay. An open “CCP / Algérie Poste” or “BaridiMob” order keeps the amount it quoted, because the student may already have transferred the money before uploading the receipt; and whatever was sent for review keeps its amount.

Why can’t I delete my course?

Because deleting would erase what others depend on. It is refused while the course has an enrolled student, a payment order that is paid, pending or under review, an unused activation card or an open installment plan, and the database itself refuses it. “Delete course…” then opens “This course can’t be deleted” with the counts, and “Archive it instead”: it stops selling and everyone keeps what they paid for. A course nobody depends on is deleted by typing its title, then “Delete for good”. The delete row doesn’t show without the “Delete a course” permission.

What happens to my students when I archive the course?

They keep learning as before, and its lessons stay theirs. A subscriber renews, an installment payer pays the next one, and valid activation cards you handed out before archiving redeem as usual. What changes: the course leaves your school’s pages and nobody new can buy it. “Restore as draft” turns it back into a draft, and you publish it when you want.

What’s the difference between instalments and a subscription?

Instalments are one price split into payments, ending in permanent access after the last one. A subscription sells a span of time — a month, a year or whatever you set — and access ends with it unless the student adds more.

How do I stop enrollment without cutting off my students?

Two ways. “Unpublish…” in the header turns the course back into a draft nobody new can buy, and your enrolled students keep learning, renew and pay their installments. “Archive course…”, in “Manage course”, suits a course whose sales are over: it leaves your school’s pages, its students keep learning, subscribers and installment payers renew and pay. To keep the course published but let in only the people you give a code to, choose “This course's own methods” in “Payments” and keep only “Activation card (code)”: the first line then reads “Students activate this course with cards you sell outside the platform. No purchase on the page.”

I left the page before saving — are my changes lost?

Nothing is lost without your say. A tab or a link inside the platform first opens the “You have unsaved changes” popup: “Save and leave”, “Discard them” or “Stay here”. Closing or reloading the page asks the browser’s own question. The cover image, for its part, has been saved since it uploaded.

Where is my course’s link?

Press the “View public page” globe in the header: the sales page opens at your school’s address; copy the link from the browser. The link is fixed and isn’t edited in settings. When you open it yourself, you read “This is your course page — Edit it” above the title, which takes you back to your course; visitors never see it. And pasted into WhatsApp or Facebook, the link shows with the course’s name and a picture card: its cover, title, price and your academy’s name.

Who can watch the free lessons without an account?

The “Free lessons (preview)” choice in the “Course page” tab decides. New courses start on “Open to everyone”: the visitor opens the free lesson straight away. Older courses stay on “With a free account” until you change it: the visitor is sent to “Create your account to watch “…” for free”, then comes back to the lesson without paying or enrolling in the course.

How do I give permanent or time-limited access?

“One price” and “Free” give permanent access; instalments become permanent after the last payment. For limited access, choose “Subscription”. For one student, “Extend subscriptions” in their profile adds 30, 90 or 365 days.

Who can publish the course and change its price?

Whoever has “Publish and price” together with “Edit own courses”; without it, the publish button doesn’t show and the price is locked. In a school that reviews its courses, the teacher sees “Send for review” instead. The same permission archives and restores the course; deleting needs “Delete a course”.

When does “Saved” appear?

Only once the save has really landed; the “You have unsaved changes” bar then goes away. If the save is refused, nothing is saved: the bar says “Nothing was saved: fix the fields marked in red.” and each field says why. Only the cover image skips this bar: it saves as soon as it uploads.

Does the “Format” change anything?

No. Online, in person and hybrid, with “Where?”, are a label students see, nothing more. Dates and capacity are set per group, in “Groups”.
