Reviews and requests: everything beyond the rules, in one inbox
The school rules set the limits; “Reviews and requests” is where whatever must pass through you arrives: a new course reviewed before students see it, a price outside the range, a discount above the limit, more storage, an assistant seat. Each request has 48 hours, one decision with a written reason, and an effect you read before you press. In this lesson Mourad Belkacem reviews “Physics: electricity” sent by Samia Benamor, decides on a price Karim Haddad asked for and a discount Nadia Meziani asked for, then we see how Nadia sends her request and follows it.
- About 9 minutes
- 9 steps
Who can do it: Deciders: the director, whoever holds “Decide on requests” (such as the deputy) within their scope, and whoever holds “Review courses before publishing” (such as a department supervisor) for their teachers' courses only. If the department has a reviewing supervisor, the course goes to them. Nobody decides their own request. Sending a request is open to every team member.
In 9 steps
- 1Open “Reviews and requests”: “Waiting for me”, “All open”, “Decided this week”, sorted by deadline.
- 2What arrives: publish a course, course changes, price, discount, free course, quota, assistant, access, and dispute.
- 3A course to review: the curriculum, the lesson, the round, and the “Checklist” from the publishing rules.
- 4Your notes on the lesson and at its moment: “Must fix” or “Suggestion”, and Noqta's “Pre-check”.
Show all
- 5“Your decision”: request changes, approve and publish, or reject, with a message and a sentence saying what happens.
- 6Approval publishes the course and its ready lessons unchanged since sending; a discount becomes a code.
- 7Price, discount, storage: the rule in front of you, another price if you like, or a rejection with a ready reason.
- 848 hours per request; then a notice to the decider, a day later to the director, and a summary every Sunday.
- 9The teacher: “Send for review” from the editor, or “New request” in “My requests and reviews”, and follows the reply there.
Before you start
- Published school rules: they decide what reaches you as a request (“After review”, “Within a range”, “With my approval”, the discount limit).
- Be the director, or hold “Decide on requests” or “Review courses before publishing”.
- For the first review of a whole course, a computer is easier for watching lessons and writing notes.
- Step 1 of 9
Open “Reviews and requests”
In “School”, group “Today”, press “Reviews and requests”. Under the title: how many requests are waiting for you, how many are late, and “48 hours to decide from arrival”, with the link “What needs a request in your rules”. Three tabs: “Waiting for me” (what you decide), “All open” (including what someone else decides, “For your information”) and “Decided this week”. Then “Search by teacher or course” and the “Order”: “Nearest deadline” by default. Each row: “Request”, “From”, “Age”, “Deadline” (“6 h left” or “3 h late”), “Decides”, and “Status”: “Waiting for your decision”, or the number of draft notes. On a phone, cards in two groups: “Before tomorrow” and “Later”.

- Step 2 of 9
What arrives, and from where
The “Request type” groups above the list, each with its count: “Courses” (“Publish a course” when the teacher presses “Send for review”, and “Course changes” for new lessons in a published course if your rules review them), “Prices & discounts” (“Price” outside the range or a drop on a course with buyers, “Discount” above the limit, “Free course”), “Quotas” (more storage), “Assistants & permissions” (“Assistant” beyond their number, “Access” their role doesn't grant) and “Disputes” on statements. Each title says what's asked: “Price of “Maths: functions” from 4 500 to 7 500 DZD”, “40% off “Arabic grammar” for 22 days”, “Storage from 20 to 50 GB”.

Heads-upA statement dispute shows here, but is handled in “Statements and payouts”, where the statement is.
- Step 3 of 9
A course to review: the curriculum, the lesson, the checklist
Open a “Publish a course” request: the review page shows the title “Physics: electricity”, when it was sent, “Round 1” and “View as a student”. On one side the “Curriculum”: chapters and lessons, filtered by “All”, “Changed” or “With notes”, with how many lessons you opened. In the middle the open lesson: “Lesson 4 of 6”, new in this round, type, length, status, access, “Watch it as a student” and “Open the lesson in the editor”. On the other side: the round summary (everything is new in the first round: 6 lessons in 1 h 40), then the “Checklist” “From the publishing rules”: cover, course description, free preview lesson, at least 3 lessons, price within range, each with its value (“4 500 DZD · range 1 000–6 000”).

- Step 4 of 9
Write your notes on the lesson, at its moment
Under the lesson, your notes (“Sent with the decision, not before”). In “New note on lesson 4”: “Moment (optional)”, like 03:40 or a span 03:40-09:10, the type: “Must fix” or “Suggestion” (doesn't block), then the note itself: where exactly, what's wrong, the smallest fix that will do. “Add the note”: it's “Saved as a draft, sent with the decision” and shows in the “Notes” on the side. For a note on the whole course, pick “New note on the course”. For a second look: “Pre-check” opens “Noqta’s pre-check”, notes from the course outline only (Noqta doesn't watch videos); nothing is added before “Add as a note”.

- Step 5 of 9
“Your decision”: changes, approval or rejection
In “Your decision”, three choices: “Request changes”, “Approve & publish” (“Approve the changes” for course changes), “Reject”. Then “Your message to Samia”: required for changes and rejection, optional for approval. Below it, a sentence says what will happen before you press: “Samia gets one notification with every note, and finds them on their lessons inside the course editor. Sending it again starts a new round with a new deadline.” Then the button: “Send 2 notes to Samia”, “Approve & publish” or “Reject the request”. After the decision, the next request opens.

The page asks “Approve with notes not sent?”; “Approve anyway” publishes, and the notes stay visible in the teacher's editor without blocking it.
Heads-up“Request changes” needs at least one note, on a lesson or on the course. Rejecting closes the request with no change to the course; your message arrives as written, and the teacher can edit and send again.
- Step 6 of 9
What approval does
For a new course: the course is published now with its ready lessons, students can see it, and the teacher is notified. The lessons published are the ones you read: a draft lesson whose content is ready and wasn't edited after sending. A lesson Samia edited after sending stays a draft for the next round, and a lesson with a publish date or marked “coming soon” keeps its timing. For “Course changes”: its new ready lessons are published by the same rule. For the other requests: the price becomes the course's price from now on, without touching anyone who already bought; the discount becomes a discount code at the asked percentage, on this course's own offers, once per buyer, until the asked date, sent to the teacher; the free course becomes free for everyone who enrolls; the quota becomes their new storage; the assistant is one extra seat for them alone; and access is an exception in their permissions, granted only by someone who holds it.
On screenApprove & publishDiscount codeTipAn approved discount doesn't touch another teacher's courses: the code is tied to the course's own offers, not a bundle holding other courses.
Heads-up“Someone decided first.” If your deputy decided the same request before you, your decision isn't saved and doesn't overwrite theirs.
- Step 7 of 9
A price, discount or storage request: the rule in front of you
Open Karim's request “Price of “Maths: functions” from 4 500 to 7 500 DZD”. At the top, Karim's reason as he wrote it. Then the rule in place: your rules' price range, with the current and proposed price, and a line saying the new price is outside the range (1 000 to 6 000 DZD). Then the “Decision options”: “Approve 7 500 DZD”, or “Suggest another price”: you write “The price you approve (DZD)”, which he sees in the notification. Or “Reject with a reason”: “The reason Karim will read”, in your words or from “Ready reasons” (“The request is outside the school's current rules.”…). For Nadia's request: your 25% no-approval limit against the 40% she asked, with the course, length, start and end. And in the conversation with Karim, ask him something before deciding. Price, discount and quota requests can also be decided straight from the list with “Approve” and “Reject”.

Heads-up“Write the reason first, or pick a ready one.” No rejection without a reason: it's what the teacher reads in the notice and in their requests.
- Step 8 of 9
The 48-hour deadline, the reminder and the weekly summary
Every request arrives with 48 hours, and the list is sorted by them. The colour only shows when the deadline is near (“5 h left”) or past (“3 h late”). A request sent back with changes reads “Clock paused”, in the “Back with their teachers” group; when the teacher sends it again, a new round starts with 48 new hours. Past the deadline, the decider gets one notice: “Requests are past their 48 hours”, with the count. 24 hours more with no decision: it reaches the director, “2 waiting — passed on to you”. And every Sunday from 8 am, the director gets “Your school this week”: requests waiting, late, disputes, unpaid statements.
On screenDeadlineClock pausedBack with their teachersRequests are past their 48 hourspassed on to youYour school this weekTipWant to see what's waiting before it's late? “Waiting for me” with “Nearest deadline”: the top row is the closest to its deadline.
- Step 9 of 9
How a teacher sends a request and follows it
A course: in its editor, when your rules ask for review, the teacher presses “Send for review”, with an optional message to the reviewer; the course turns “Awaiting review”. If you request changes, they find your notes on their lessons, mark each one fixed, then “Send for review again”. Anything else: in “My school”, then “My requests and reviews”, they press “New request” (“For what goes beyond the school's rules · reaches the management with your message”): “What are you asking for?” price, discount, free course, quota, assistant, access; then the course and the value (“Discount (%)”, “Until (optional)”), “Your message (optional)” and “Send request”. They follow it in “All”, “Open”, “Approved”, “Rejected”: the status, the conversation, and “Withdraw request” while it's open. An approved discount gives them the “Discount code” to share with their students.

Heads-upWhat the teacher edits during the review isn't part of this round: an edited lesson stays a draft after approval and goes in the next round.

Questions
What happens to a lesson the teacher edited after sending the course?
It isn't published with the approval: it stays a draft and joins the next round. Approval only publishes what you read: ready lessons unchanged since sending.
Do students see the course while it's in review?
No. A new course goes live only with “Approve & publish”. In a published course, new lessons stay drafts until “Approve the changes” if your rules review them.
I approved a discount: where's the code?
It's created with the approval, sent to the teacher in their notice, and shown in “My requests and reviews” under “Discount code”. One use per buyer on this course, until the asked date or until the school stops it.
Who decides if I'm away for two days?
Whoever holds “Decide on requests” in the teacher's scope, such as the deputy, and the supervisor for their department's courses. After 48 hours plus 24 more without a decision, the request reaches you as a notice.
Can I reject without writing a reason?
No. Rejection needs a reason the teacher will read; write it or pick a “Ready reason”. An approval's message is optional.
Does approval change the school rule?
No. It's an exception for this request: an assistant seat for this teacher, a price for this course. The rule stays the same for everyone else; change it in “School rules”.
