The Dirassa+ guide
School and team

How to set your school’s name, identity and visibility

Your school’s name, the address your students open, its color and logo, its app on their phones, how it looks in search and when shared, and what it reports to ad networks: it all lives in “Settings”, and it all saves on its own. Every section is explained here, with what changes for your students after each choice, on a real school: “Al-Nour Mathematics Academy”.

  • About 10 minutes
  • 7 steps

Who can do it: “General” and “Brand” need “Workspace settings”; “Search” and “Tracking” need “SEO and tracking”; the “School & team” row shows for anyone who sees or manages the staff, or holds “Workspace settings”. “Devices” is open to anyone with “Edit lessons” for their own computers, and “Manage team and invitations” shows everyone’s. The director and the deputy hold all of these by default.

In 7 steps

  1. 1Open “Settings”: three groups, a search box, and every change saves itself.
  2. 2In “General”, write the institution name and copy your students’ address.
  3. 3In “Brand”, pick the brand color, default appearance and language, then upload the logo and favicon.
  4. 4Set up the “Mobile app”: a short name and an icon for the student’s home screen.
Show all
  1. 5In “Search”, write the page title and description, then upload the “Share image”.
  2. 6In “Tracking”, paste a Meta or TikTok pixel ID and Conversions API token until it reads “Ready”.
  3. 7Review Dirassa Studio computers in “Devices”, and revoke any that are no longer yours.

Before you start

  • A Dirassa Plus account and a school.
  • The “Workspace settings” permission for “General” and “Brand”, or being the school’s director or deputy.
  • A logo on a transparent background if you can (PNG or WebP) and a square image for the app, each up to 15 MB.
  • A wide image for sharing, at 1200×630.
  • If you advertise: the pixel ID and Conversions API token from Meta’s or TikTok’s Events Manager.
  1. Step 1 of 7

The settings page, and how it saves

Open “Settings” at the foot of the panel beside the column, or from the organization logo’s menu at the top of the column. At the top, “Find a setting…” searches section names and descriptions. Below it, three groups: “Workspace” (“Plan and usage”, “General”, “Brand”, “Your domain”), “Business & visibility” (“Payments”, “Selling abroad”, “Search”, “Tracking”) and “School & team” (the “School & team” row, which takes you to your teachers, staff, their roles and their log in “School”, then “Devices”). Only what your role allows shows. Inside a section, on a wide screen, a side rail lists the same sections so the next one is one click away; on a phone, the “Settings” link takes you back. There is no Save button: each card reports itself in its header: “Saving…” then “Saved”, or “Not saved” with “Retry save”.

    On screenSettingsFind a setting…WorkspaceBusiness & visibilitySchool & teamNo matching settings.Saving…SavedNot savedRetry save

TipText saves a second after you stop typing, or when you leave the field. If you try to close the page before a change has gone through, the browser warns you.

  2. Step 2 of 7

    “General”: name and address

The “Institution identity” card starts with the “Institution name”: shown to students across the platform and your public site, 2 to 80 characters, saved on its own. Under it, “Your students' address”, e.g. noor-math.dirassaplus.com, with “Copy” and “Open”: the link you share or print as a QR code. Changing it is folded under “Change the subaddress”: type the “New subaddress” (3 to 40 characters: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens), its availability is checked, then “Change address”. If you hid the setup checklist, you see “Setup checklist hidden” and “Bring it back” here. Your school’s shape (you with assistants, a school, or an academy with departments) no longer lives here: you pick it when you switch “School” on, and change it in “School settings”.

On screenInstitution identityInstitution nameYour students' addressCopyOpenChange the subaddressNew subaddressChecking…Taken, try another.Change addressBring it back

TipOnce you connect your own domain, it becomes the address shown here, and the subaddress redirects to it automatically.

Heads-upChanging the subaddress stops the old one immediately: every link you shared and every QR code you printed leads to an error, with no redirect. Only change it if you’re ready to share the new link again.

  3. Step 3 of 7

“Brand”: color, appearance, language and logo

In the “Visual identity” card, pick the “Brand color” from eight, or + for a “Custom color”. It colors the buttons of your public site and student area. “Default appearance”: “Auto”, “Light” or “Dark”, for anyone who hasn’t picked one. “Default language”: “Browser language”, Arabic, French or English, for a first visit; students can switch and their choice sticks. “Show preview” shows your address, logo, name and a button in your color. At the bottom, the “Logo & favicon” card: the “Logo” shows at the top of the dashboard’s column and on your public page, the “Favicon” in the browser tab, cropped square. “Upload”, then “Replace” or “Remove”: saved the moment you pick one.

On screenVisual identityBrand colorCustom colorDefault appearanceAutoLightDarkDefault languageBrowser languageShow previewEnroll nowLogo & faviconLogoFaviconUploadReplaceRemove

TipA horizontal logo on a transparent background stays crisp on light and dark alike. With no logo, your school’s initial shows on its color.

Heads-upA new default language can take a few minutes to reach new visitors.

  4. Step 4 of 7

“Mobile app”: its name and icon

Your platform installs on a student’s phone as an app. The “Mobile app” card, in “Brand”, decides how it lands: the “App name” under the icon, up to 30 characters; left empty, it’s your school’s name. Names up to 15 characters show in full; longer ones get cut. The “App icon”: an image cropped to a 512×512 square; without one, it’s generated from your favicon, else your logo, else your initial on your color. “Show preview” shows both screens: “Android” with a round icon, “iPhone” with a rounded square. Students, for their part, see an “Install the Nour Academy app” card with “Install” in their area, and on iPhone a guide: Safari’s Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”.

On screenMobile appApp nameApp iconUploadShow previewAndroidiPhoneInstallLater

TipExample: “Nour Maths” (10 characters) shows in full, while “Al-Nour Mathematics Academy” gets cut on screen. The brand color also becomes the app’s bar color.

  5. Step 5 of 7

“Search”: title, description and share image

The “Search & sharing (SEO)” card: the “Page title”, up to 70 characters, shown in the search result and the browser tab; left empty, it’s your school’s name. The “Page description”, up to 200 characters: one sentence that makes students want to enroll. Open “Show preview” to watch the result change as you type: “In search results” (title, link and description) and “When shared” (the card that appears on Facebook and WhatsApp). Below, the “Share image” card: a wide 1200×630 image, cropped from the center, uploaded and saved at once.

On screenSearch & sharing (SEO)Page titlePage descriptionShow previewIn search resultsWhen sharedShare imageUpload

TipExample: the title “Al-Nour Academy — Bac Mathematics”, the description “Protected video lessons, worked tests and mock exams for experimental sciences”.

  6. Step 6 of 7

    “Tracking”: Meta and TikTok pixels

The “Ad pixels & tracking” card is for anyone who advertises on Meta or TikTok. For each network, “Facebook / Instagram (Meta)” and “TikTok”, two fields: the “Pixel ID” (for Meta, digits only, not the whole pixel script) and the “Conversions API token”. Beside the name, a badge: “Ready” when both are filled, “Incomplete” with the ID alone, “Off” with no ID. Here each field saves when you leave it, not while you type. The folded “Test codes” are for checking in Events Manager, then clearing, and “Events sent automatically” says what goes to Meta and TikTok, and when. The pixel sees visits and orders in the browser; the token reports the confirmed sale from the server when you approve the order. Each has its own full lesson in the “Ads and tracking” section: “Meta and TikTok pixels” and “Conversions API”.

On screenAd pixels & trackingFacebook / Instagram (Meta)TikTokPixel IDConversions API tokenPaste the tokenReadyIncompleteOffTest codesTest code (optional)Events sent automatically

TipA CCP or BaridiMob payment is approved hours after the student has left, so only the server-side token can report it. Without a token, the ad network never learns which ad brought a paying student.

Heads-upPurchase is sent only for a sale you confirmed; a rejected order is never sent.

  7. Step 7 of 7

    “Devices”: your Dirassa Studio computers

“Devices” lists the “Connected devices”: the computers that record lessons with Dirassa Studio and upload them into your school. With none, you see “No computer connected yet” and a “Download Dirassa Studio” button. For each one, “Last seen” and its system; “Revoke device” then “Confirm revoke” cuts it off, and the app on it returns to its sign-in screen. With “Manage team and invitations” you see everyone’s computers, grouped: “Your computers”, then “Karim's computers”. The activity log is no longer in “Settings”: it lives in “School” → “Activity log”, with who did what and when, and filters by person, type and date.

On screenDevicesConnected devicesDownload Dirassa StudioLast seenRevoke deviceConfirm revokeRevoked

TipA revoked device stays in the list with a “Revoked” badge, so you can still see when it was last used.

Heads-upA device key doesn’t expire on its own, so a recording never gets cut off mid-lesson. A computer lost, sold, or whose owner left the team: revoke it here right away.

Questions

Why don’t I see every section in settings?

Each section shows only with its permission. The owner sees everything; the “Deputy director” sees everything except “Your domain”. A “Teacher” on the default role sees only “Plan and usage” and “Devices”.

Where is the Save button?

There isn’t one. Each card saves itself and reports it in its header: “Saving…” then “Saved”. If “Not saved” appears, press “Retry save”. The “Tracking” fields save only when you leave them.

I changed the subaddress — why don’t my old links work?

The old address stops immediately and doesn’t redirect to the new one. Copy the new one from “Your students' address”, share it again and reprint your QR codes.

How do my students install the app?

From their area, on a phone: an “Install the … app” card with “Install” appears. On iPhone, they open your platform in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”, then “Add”.

Why is my app name cut off?

The home screen shows names of up to 15 characters in full; longer ones are cut after 14 characters with “…”. Write a short name in “App name”, such as “Nour Maths”.

Where do I find the pixel ID and the Conversions API token?

In Meta’s or TikTok’s Events Manager. A Meta ID is digits only; a TikTok ID is letters and digits, like C4ABCD…. Once saved, the token shows as dots: it is never sent back to the browser.

I lost my computer with Dirassa Studio on it — what now?

Open “Devices”, press “Revoke device” on that computer, then “Confirm revoke”. Its next request is refused and the app goes back to its sign-in screen. The owner and anyone with “Manage team and invitations” can revoke other people’s devices too.
