Terms of use

The rules we work by, together.

These terms govern your use of Dirassa+ and all its services. We wrote them plainly, under Algerian law, so everyone knows exactly what they are owed — and what we owe.

Teachers sell to their students

What a student pays goes straight to the teacher, who is responsible for their courses, prices and refunds.

Your content is yours

You grant us only the licence needed to host your lessons and show them to your students, free of charge, for your subscription.

Monthly, never auto-renewed

You pay each month yourself, cancel whenever you like, and get your first payment back in full within 7 days.

No surprise changes

Material changes are announced 30 days ahead, and you can leave at no cost.

Definitions

  • Dirassa+ / we: the platform and services provided through dirassaplus.com, its subdomains, teachers' connected domains and their apps, including “Dirassa Studio”, operated by the activity described on the About page.
  • Teacher (subscriber): the person, school or institution that opens an academy on a subscription, including their staff.
  • Academy: the teacher's site, app, courses, community and store on the platform, under their name and identity.
  • Student (learner): anyone enrolled in a teacher's academy to learn or buy.
  • Content: anything uploaded or published: lessons, videos, files, exams, posts, comments, messages.

Accepting the terms

By creating an account and ticking the consent box, you enter into an electronic contract with us that carries the same weight as a written one (Article 323 bis of the Civil Code). We keep the date of your acceptance and the version you accepted; you can ask for a copy at any time.

These terms form one agreement with the privacy policy and the refund policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.

Eligibility and accounts

  • Teachers must be adults (19, Article 40 of the Civil Code) or the legal representative of an institution.
  • Students under 19 sign up with their parent or guardian's consent; the guardian remains responsible for any payment the minor makes.
  • Accounts are personal: don't share or sell yours, keep your password secret, and tell us at once about any suspicious use.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information; we are not responsible for the consequences of wrong information you give.

The service

The platform gives teachers the tools to build and run an academy: a site and app under their name, protected video courses, exams, live classes, groups and bookings, a community, a store, and ways to collect their students' payments on their own accounts. Features depend on the plan, as shown on the pricing section.

The service keeps evolving. If we remove an essential paid feature, we tell you in advance and you may cancel with a refund of the unused part.

Some Dirassa Studio and AI tools are marked “beta”: they are provided as they are and may change or stop, which we state clearly next to them.

Plans, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in Algerian dinars and are the total amount you pay, with no hidden fees.
  • Subscriptions are monthly, paid in advance by BaridiMob or CCP transfer or any method we offer, quoting the payment reference.
  • Your plan is activated once the payment is verified; we issue an electronic invoice for every payment, and a paper copy on request.
  • No automatic renewal: we never charge you without your action. To continue, you pay the next month yourself.
  • Price changes are announced at least 30 days ahead and apply only to periods you haven't paid yet.
  • Upgrades can be requested any time; a pending request can be cancelled free of charge before approval.
  • Student packs: past your plan's active-student limit, you add a pack of 100 active students at the price shown on the pricing page, with the period you pay for or for the rest of the current period, prorated by the days left. A pack ends with the period it was paid for.
  • Fair use of video delivery: plans are designed for normal teaching use. If your academy's viewing passes an average of 20 hours per active student a month, we contact you to find what suits you together; we never cut the service or slow videos down without your agreement.

Cancellation and expiry

You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason and at no cost; your services stay active until the end of the paid period.

When a subscription expires without renewal, your academy works as usual for a 7-day grace period, then paid services stop and your site and your students' portal close until you renew, with nothing deleted. We keep your academy and its data for 90 days after the period ends so you can renew or export your student list, warn you before deletion, then delete it permanently (see the privacy policy).

Refund terms are in the refund policy, most importantly: a full refund of your first payment if you ask within 7 days.

Teachers' obligations

The teacher owns their academy and is the seller in their relationship with students. They agree to:

  • Comply with the law that applies to their activity, including Law 18-05 on e-commerce and consumer-protection and tax rules, and show students the information those laws require.
  • Display prices clearly, deliver what they sell, set their own sales and refund terms, and handle their students' requests and complaints.
  • Hold the rights to everything they publish, or permission from the right holders, and publish only lawful content.
  • Respect their students' data as its controller (see “Processing on the teacher's behalf”) and make sure minors' parents agree.
  • Obtain visitors' consent before enabling ad measurement (Meta or TikTok) on their site.
  • Answer for the actions of the staff they give access to.

Students' obligations

  • Use lessons for personal learning only and don't share your account.
  • Don't record, copy, republish or sell lessons. Reproducing or distributing works without permission is the offence of counterfeiting, punished by 6 months to 3 years in prison and a fine of 500,000 to 1,000,000 DZD (Articles 151–153 of Ordinance 03-05).
  • Be honest in exams and respectful to the teacher and other students.
Every video shows a watermark with the watching student's name, to help trace any leak.

Content and intellectual property

A teacher's content belongs to the teacher. None of their rights transfer to us, and we never use their lessons for anything outside their academy.

To provide the service, the teacher grants us a defined licence, in line with Articles 61–64 of Ordinance 03-05:

ElementWhat it covers
Nature of rightsTechnical reproduction (storage, conversion, encoding, backup) and communication to the public, limited to showing the content to people the teacher authorises
ConsiderationFree — the licence is part of the service the teacher subscribes to
Form of useHosting, streaming and display within the teacher's academy, app and notifications
DurationThe subscription, plus the retention period after it ends and the backup cycle
TerritoryWorldwide, since students may connect from any country
ExclusivityNon-exclusive: the teacher is free to publish their content anywhere else

The platform, its software, designs and the “Dirassa+” brand belong to us; copying or reusing them without written permission is not allowed.

What's not allowed

On the platform, you may not:

  • Publish unlawful content, content contrary to public morals, content inciting hatred or violence, or content harming public order or others' rights.
  • Sell products or services whose online sale is prohibited (Article 3 of Law 18-05) or that infringe intellectual property.
  • Impersonate a person or institution, or mislead students about content, prices or qualifications.
  • Attempt to break into the platform, bypass content protection, overload the servers or scrape users' data.
  • Send marketing messages to people who haven't agreed to receive them.

Reporting unlawful or stolen content

If content infringes your rights or the law, write to contact@dirassaplus.com with the link, what is wrong and, if it is your work, proof of your rights.

We review every report quickly; we may suspend the content or account, ask its author to respond, and cooperate with the competent authorities.

Payments between students and teachers

When a student buys a course or product, the contract is between the student and the teacher. Dirassa+ is not a party to that sale and never holds the money: transfers go to the teacher's postal or bank account, and card payments go through the teacher's own Chargily Pay or Stripe account.

Refund requests and complaints about a course or product go to the teacher, who handles them under their policy and the law. If they don't respond, write to us and we will help as far as we can.

Processing on the teacher's behalf

For the data of students in their academy, the teacher is the controller and we are their processor. This clause is the written contract required by Article 39 of Law 18-07:

  • We process the data on the teacher's instructions, expressed through their academy settings, and only to run the academy.
  • We keep it confidential, apply the security measures in the privacy policy, and bind the providers listed there to the same obligations.
  • We help the teacher answer their students' requests and tell them without delay about any breach of their data.
  • We delete the data, or let it be exported, when the relationship ends, within the retention period stated.
  • The teacher keeps their own obligations as controller, including filing with the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data where required.

Dirassa Studio and credits

Dirassa Studio is a free download. Some cloud services (transcription, AI) are paid in credits whose cost is shown before each job.

Credits are not electronic money: they cannot be transferred or cashed out, and can only be used for Dirassa Studio services. Refunds follow the refund policy.

Availability

We do everything reasonable to keep the platform available and secure, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation. We announce planned maintenance in advance whenever possible.

If the service is down for a long time because of us, we extend your subscription by the same period (see the refund policy).

Liability

We are responsible for our obligations under the law. We are not responsible for:

  • Content published by teachers and students, or sales between a teacher and their students.
  • Harm caused by misuse of an account, shared passwords, or a fault in the user's device or internet connection.
  • Events beyond our control (force majeure), including outages of public networks or major providers.

Except for fraud or gross negligence, and as far as the law allows, our liability to a teacher is limited to what they paid us in the three months before the event. This clause does not limit any right the law gives consumers that cannot be waived.

Suspension and termination

You can end our relationship at any time by cancelling your subscription or asking us to delete your account.

We may suspend or remove an account or content for a serious breach of these terms or of the law. We warn you and give you time to fix it, unless the conduct is clearly unlawful, threatens the platform's or users' security, or the law or authorities require immediate action. You keep a window to export your data unless the law forbids it.

Changes to these terms

We notify you of any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in the platform. If you disagree, you can cancel before that date at no cost, with a refund of the unused part of the paid period.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Algerian law.

  1. For any complaint, first write to contact@dirassaplus.com with the details. We acknowledge it and look for an amicable solution as quickly as possible.
  2. If no amicable solution is found, the dispute goes to the competent Algerian court under the Code of Civil and Administrative Procedure.

Language and versions

These terms exist in Arabic, French and English. If they differ, the Arabic version prevails. The update date is shown at the top of the page; earlier versions are kept and sent on request.
