Inviting teachers and taking applications
Everyone who joins your school’s team comes in through one door: an invitation carrying their role, department and contract; they open it, read what was agreed, then accept. Here is the whole way, from both sides, at “Al Ofok Academy”: Mourad Belkacem invites Karim Haddad as a maths teacher on a monthly salary, Yacine Mansouri as Samia Benamor’s assistant, and takes Nadia Meziani’s application from “Teach with us”.
- About 5 minutes per invitation
- 10 steps
Who can do it: The “Invite” button and the “Joining and invites” page need “Manage team and invitations”. Only roles whose permissions you hold in full are offered, and “Deputy director” is the owner’s alone to give. The contract inside an invitation is for the owner and anyone with “Payment settings”; others send the invitation without one and the director sets it afterwards. The invitee needs nothing but the link.
In 10 steps
- 1Open “Invite” from “Joining and invites” (or “Invite a teacher”, “Invite a member”), type the name and pick the role.
- 2In “Scope and contract”, pick the department, the teacher an assistant works with, and the teacher’s contract.
- 3Choose how it reaches them: WhatsApp, email or open link, then “Create the invitation”.
- 4Copy the link, send the ready message or show the QR code: the link is shown once.
Show all
- 5The invitee sees your school’s name and logo, their role and contract, then signs up or signs in and taps “Join now”.
- 6They land on the welcome page: what was agreed, then the rules before anything else.
- 7Follow “Pending invitations”: “Renew the link” or “Revoke”, and get “Your invitation was accepted”.
- 8Open the “Teach with us” page so teachers apply to you themselves.
- 9In “Applications”, read the application, then “Accept and create the invitation” or “Decline with a reason”.
- 10A team member who signs in on the school’s address crosses to their workspace still signed in.
Before you start
- “School” turned on in your workspace.
- The “Manage team and invitations” permission, or being the school’s director.
- A clear decision: the role, the department if the teacher has one, and the contract (commission, fee or salary).
- Published rules, if you want every newcomer to accept them before starting.
- The invitee’s WhatsApp number or email.
- Step 1 of 10
Open “Invite” and pick the role
Three doors open the same sheet: the “Invite” button in “Joining and invites”, “Invite a teacher” in “Teachers” (with “Teacher” already picked), and “Invite a member” in “Staff and departments”. When your staff is empty you also find shortcuts there for common roles: “Teaching assistant”, “Department supervisor”, “Student support”, “Accountant”. The sheet has three steps along the top: “Role”, “Scope and contract”, “Sending”. In the first, type “Their name as it will appear in the invitation” (optional, e.g. “Karim Haddad”), then pick from the “Which role?” cards: each gives the role’s name and one sentence on what it does, such as “Teacher: sells their courses under the school’s name, with a contract” or “Teaching assistant: answers one teacher’s students and grades for them”. Your school’s own roles carry a “Custom role” badge. Then “Next: scope and contract”; for roles that work across the whole school (accountant, marketer…) the button becomes “Next: sending” straight away.

And only the owner sees the “Deputy director” card.
- Step 2 of 10
“Scope and contract”: the department, who they work with, the contract
What shows here follows the role. For a teacher: “Department” (or “No department”), with who reviews their courses underneath: “Reviewed by the director” or “Reviewed by” the supervisor. Then “Contract”, in five models: “Commission” (the school takes a percentage of each sale, the rest is theirs), “Monthly fee” (they pay the school a fixed amount and keep all their sales), “Fee + commission”, “Salary + commission” and “Fixed salary” (the school pays them a salary and all sales go to the school). Below come the numbers: “School commission (%)” with “Their share is 70% of each sale’s net” once you type 30, or “The school pays them each month (DZD)”, or “They pay the school each month (DZD)”. The choice starts from the default contract in your rules. For Karim: “Fixed salary” and 60,000 DZD. For a teaching assistant or a grader it is “Works with” instead: add “Samia Benamor” and Yacine sees only her students and their questions. A department supervisor joins the department; you make them its supervisor from the “Departments” tab once they accept.

Heads-upIf you are not the owner and don’t hold “Payment settings”, you won’t see “Contract”: the invitation goes without one, and the director sets it after acceptance in “Contracts and commissions”.
- Step 3 of 10
“Sending”: how the invitation reaches them
The third step asks “How should the invitation reach them?”. “WhatsApp”: we prepare the message and the link, and you send it from your phone, with “Their phone · optional”. “Email”: we send the invitation to their inbox in your school’s name. “Open link”: a link you copy and share yourself. The note under the choices gives the link’s life: with an email, the link is theirs only (they sign in with that email) and lasts 7 days; without one, it works for the first person who accepts it and expires after 24 hours. Hence, for WhatsApp and the open link, the field “Their email · optional, makes the link theirs only”. You can also add a “Personal note” at the top of the message, such as “I watched your lesson and I’d love you on board.”. Then “Create the invitation”.
On screenHow should the invitation reach them?WhatsAppEmailOpen linkTheir phone · optionalTheir email · optional, makes the link theirs onlyPersonal note · optional, appears at the top of the messageCreate the invitationTipAdd their email even with WhatsApp: the link becomes theirs only, useless to anyone else it reaches, and stays valid a week instead of a day.
Heads-upYou can have 20 pending invitations at once, and send 50 a day. Past that, a new invitation is refused until you revoke some or the day passes.
- Step 4 of 10
“The invitation is ready”: the link is shown once
The last screen sums the invitation up in one line: “Teacher · Science and maths · 60,000 DZD salary · Expires in 7 days”. Under it, the link with “Copy”, then “The message as they will receive it · you can edit it”: a hello with their name, your personal note, “I’d be glad to have you join “Al Ofok Academy” as “Teacher””, then the link and your signature. If they are with you: “If they’re right in front of you”, a QR code they scan with their phone camera to open the same invitation. At the bottom, “Copy the message” and “Open WhatsApp” (on their number if you typed it). The link starts with dirassaplus.com, not your school’s address: invitations are made on the platform’s address, where the workspace lives, yet they wear your school’s identity, as the next step shows.
On screenThe invitation is readyCopyCopiedThe message as they will receive it · you can edit itIf they’re right in front of youCopy the messageOpen WhatsAppDoneTipChose “Email”? The screen says “We sent the invitation to …”, or “The platform couldn’t send the email right now. Send the link yourself.”: then send it by WhatsApp.
Heads-up“The link is shown here only once”: we don’t keep links after they are made, to protect them. If you close the sheet before sending it, open “Joining and invites” and click “Renew the link”.
- Step 5 of 10
What the invitee sees: your school’s identity, their role, their contract
When Karim opens the link he sees a card in “Al Ofok Academy”’s logo and colour: “Mourad Belkacem invited you to join Al Ofok Academy”, then “as Teacher · In the «Science and maths» department”, and under it his contract in one sentence (“A 60,000 DZD monthly salary”), the pay day if your rules set one (“Paid by day 5 of each month, with a detailed statement you confirm.”) and “After joining, you read and accept the school's rules before you start.”. Without an account: “Create an account and join” or “Already have an account? Sign in”; the sign-up and sign-in pages carry a strip with the school’s logo: “You've been invited to join the team at Al Ofok Academy as Teacher.”, and after confirming his email he comes back to the same invitation. With an account: “Join now”, and under it “Signed in as …”. An expired, revoked or used invitation is one single card: “This invitation is no longer valid”.
On screeninvited you to joinasCreate an account and joinAlready have an account? Sign inYou've been invited to join the team atJoin nowSigned in asSign out and use another accountThis invitation is no longer validHeads-upA student account doesn’t become a team account: if the invitee signs in with an account that is a student at your school, they see “This account is a student in this workspace…” and “Sign out and use another account”, and need another email. Same for an email-bound invitation: signing in with a different address shows “This invitation was sent to a different address.” and the same button.
- Step 6 of 10
The welcome: what was agreed, then the rules
After “Join now”, Karim finds what the director chose already set: his role and department, the teacher an assistant works with, and his contract. If your school has published rules, “Welcome to Al Ofok Academy, Karim” opens: “What you agreed” (role and department, the contract in sentences), then “Your first steps”: “School rules”, which he reads and accepts in place, then for a teacher “Your public page”, “Where to send your earnings” (the payout account) and “Your first course”. The “Go to my school” button doesn’t work before the rules are accepted (“Accept the rules first”), and every dashboard page brings him back here until he does. At the same moment, whoever sent the invitation gets “Your invitation was accepted” with Karim’s name, opening “Staff and departments”.

- Step 7 of 10
“Pending invitations”: renew, revoke, follow up
“Joining and invites” has three tabs: “Pending invitations”, “Applications” and “History”. The pending table: “Invitee” (the name, the email or “Open link”, and who created it), “Role and scope” (like “Assists Samia Benamor”), “Contract”, “Status”: “Awaiting acceptance”, or an “Expires …” badge when under 48 hours remain, and “Expires”. Each invitation has “Renew the link”: a new link with the same role, scope and contract, shown once in “A new invitation link” with “Copy” and “Send on WhatsApp”, while the old one stops. And the bin, “Revoke”, then “Revoke the invitation”: the link stops right away, and you can invite them again any time. Under the table, “Recently accepted”; everything accepted, expired or revoked is in “History”. Pending invitations for roles other than teacher also show, faded, in “Staff and departments” with “Renew”.

Don’t create a new invitation: “Renew the link” keeps everything you chose for him and gives you a fresh link with the same lifetime.
- Step 8 of 10
The “Teach with us” page: teachers apply on their own
Your school has a public page on its own address: “Teach with us” (/teach). Its heading: “Teach at “Al Ofok Academy” and focus on explaining”, then “What you get” as your rules put it (the percentage, fee or pay, and “Paid by day 5”), and “What we ask of you” (a 5 to 10 minute trial lesson, accepting the rules, a review of every new course). Then the “Apply” form: “Name”, “Phone”, “Email” (“Leave at least a phone or an email.”), “Subject”, “Years of experience”, “Trial lesson” (a YouTube or Google Drive link) and “Tell us about you”, and finally “Send my application”, after which the applicant sees “Application received”. You open and close it in “School settings” with ““Teach with us” page is open”, and its state shows at the top of “Joining and invites”: “On” or “Off”. Closed, it tells visitors “We're not taking applications right now”.

Heads-upThe page takes at most 30 applications a day per school, against flooding. Past that, the applicant sees “Many applications arrived today. Try again tomorrow.”.
- Step 9 of 10
“Applications”: read, then accept with an invitation or decline
With each application, the owner and the deputy directors get “A new teacher application” with the applicant’s name, opening “Joining and invites”. In the “Applications” tab, each one shows the name, subject, experience and date, a “Fits {department}” badge when a department is suggested, and “Open”. The sheet shows the “Sample lesson” with “Open the sample lesson”, the “Subject”, “Experience”, “Contact” and “About them”, plus a “Summarise the applicant” button: Noqta writes who they are, what stands out in their form and questions worth asking on the call; the decision is yours. Then: “Accept and create the invitation” doesn’t let them in directly: it opens the invitation sheet already filled in on “Scope and contract” (teacher, department, their name, email and phone); you set Nadia’s contract (“Fee + commission”: 3,000 DZD and 10%) and send it, and the application is marked accepted. Or “Decline with a reason”: pick a reason, “The reply as they will read it” is written for you, tick “Keep the application for 3 months” if you like, then “Save the decline”. Or “Later”.

- Step 10 of 10
A team member on the school’s address: to their workspace without a second password
Your school’s address (like al-ofok.dirassaplus.com) is for your students; the team’s workspace is on dirassaplus.com. If Karim opens the school’s address and signs in with his team account, he isn’t sent to the student portal: a page “You're on the team at Al Ofok Academy” shows, with the school’s logo: “Your role here: Teacher. Your workspace lives on Dirassa+, not on the school's address — that address is for your students.”. Right after signing in he crosses by himself (“Taking you to your workspace…”); otherwise he clicks “Open my workspace”. The crossing carries his session with a one-time ticket that expires after 60 seconds, so he lands in the dashboard already signed in. If that fails, the button becomes a plain link to the dashboard, where he signs in once more.
On screenYou're on the team atYour role hereOpen my workspaceTaking you to your workspace…You cross to your workspace already signed in — no second password.TipOn the school’s address only accounts that belong to it get in: its students’ accounts, or a member of its team. Ask your team to keep dirassaplus.com for work, and leave the school’s address to students.
Once they have joined
- Organise the teamRoles, departments, suspending and ending collaboration: the lesson “Staff, departments and ending collaboration”.
- Set the contractsCommissions, fees, salaries and their versions: the lesson “Contracts and commissions”.
- Write the rulesWhat every newcomer accepts before starting: the lesson “School rules”.
- What the teacher sees“My school” from Karim’s side: requests, contract and earnings: the lesson “My school: your work inside the school”.
Questions
I closed the sheet before sending the link: is it lost?
The invitation stays; only the link isn’t kept. Open “Joining and invites” → “Pending invitations” and click “Renew the link” on it: a new link with the same settings, and the old one stops.
The invitee sees “This invitation is no longer valid”: why?
The link expired (24 hours without an email, 7 days with one), was revoked, or was already used. The card doesn’t tell them apart, on purpose. Renew the link and send it again.
I invited a teacher and they say their account is a student at our school
A student account doesn’t become a team account at the same school. They click “Sign out and use another account” and create an account with another email, or you invite them with another email from the start.
Why don’t I see “Deputy director” or some roles in the invitation?
Only roles whose permissions you hold in full are offered, and “Deputy director” is the owner’s alone to give.
Can I invite a teacher whose collaboration ended earlier?
Yes. When they accept the new invitation with the same account, they become an active member again with that invitation’s role, scope and department. The details are in the lesson “Staff and departments”.
Does a declined applicant hear about it automatically?
No. The reply is saved with the application, and you send it from the sheet: “Send on WhatsApp”, “Send by email” or “Copy the reply”.
