Add your products: from “New product” to “Publish”

“Products” are your store’s shelves: everything you sell, from a book that ships to a file delivered the moment it is paid, in one list and one editor. You pick the kind first, out of nine, and the editor knows what to ask: a weight for what ships, a file for what downloads, a length for what gets booked. Every keystroke saves itself into a draft nobody sees, and “Ready to publish?” tells you what is missing before “Publish”. In this lesson Sofiane Hamdi, a photography trainer, adds three products: the printed “Phone photography book” at 1,800 DZD with 40 copies, “Lightroom filters”, a digital file at 900 DZD, and a seat in his “Night photography workshop”. The same steps serve a designer selling templates, a marketing trainer selling workbooks or a teacher selling summaries.

  • About 10 minutes
  • 9 steps

Who can do it: With “Store and products” you add and manage every product of the workspace and its categories. In a school, a teacher holding only “Sell their products in the school store” sees their own products only, and their button reads “Send for review” instead of “Publish” when the school reviews its sellers’ products. “Orders and delivery” alone does not open this page.

In 9 steps

  1. 1From “Store” → “Catalogue” → “Products”: a list with search, status, category, kind chips and a low-stock alert.
  2. 2“New product”: describe what you sell in one line or pick one of nine kinds; the kind decides the sections and how it is paid.
  3. 3Other ways into the same editor: finish a draft, copy a product, the phone camera in three screens, from a course, or a CSV import.
  4. 4The editor has one shape and saves itself: a bar of sections by kind, and a side column for status, price, preview and checklist.
Show all
  1. 5“Photos”, “Name and description”, “Category and links” and “Link and search engines”.
  2. 6“Price” with “Before discount”, cost and profit, then “Stock and shipping”: stock, alert, weight, per-order limit and “When it sells out”.
  3. 7“Ways to sell”: pre-order with a deposit, limited edition, “Tell me when it's back”, then “Stock moves” with a reason.
  4. 8“Ready to publish?” lists what is missing with “Go”, then “Publish” shows where the product will appear before “Publish now”.
  5. 9Afterwards: “Hidden · link only”, “Students only” or “Scheduled”, pause and archive from the card or the list, delete for a draft that never sold.

Before you start

  • Hold “Store and products”, or “Sell their products in the school store” if you sell in a school.
  • Photos of what ships: at least one is required to publish a physical product, and the first is the cover.
  • The packed weight of everything that ships, in grams: the delivery price per wilaya comes from it.
  • Each product’s price, and its cost if you want to see your profit per piece.
  1. Step 1 of 9

“Products”: everything you sell in one list

In the column, open “Store”, then in the “Catalogue” group click “Products”. The head shows how many products you have, the “Import” and “New product” buttons, and two small buttons to switch between list and grid, which the browser remembers. Below it, “Search by name or SKU”, then “Status”: “All” shows everything except archived, then “Published & scheduled”, “Drafts”, “Hidden”, “Paused” and “Archived”; beside it “Category” once you have categories, and “Seller” in a school. Next, one chip per kind you sell with its count (“All”, “Physical”, “Digital”, “Services”…), and an alert card when something is almost sold out: it opens “Almost sold out only”, and “Show all” brings you back. Every row answers five questions: the kind and its detail (“Phone photography book” · “Physical” · “450 g”), the “Price” with “Before discount” struck through, the “Stock” (“40 pcs”, “3 left”, “Sold out”, “Unlimited” for a file), the “Status” and “Shown on”. At the bottom, the “Shown on:” key: “Website”, “Student portal” and “Course page”; a faded mark is a place where the product does not show.

TipOn a first visit you read “Your store is ready, it just needs a first product”, with “From the phone” and “New product”. Your course is not added as a row: the page says “Your course is already in it. Add what else you sell.”, and the foot of the list “Your course is shown from the academy”.

  2. Step 2 of 9

“New product”: pick what you sell from nine kinds

“New product” opens a single page: “Pick a way in. They all open the same editor, and the draft stays invisible until you publish it.”. At the top, “Describe what you sell”: Sofiane types “Phone photography book 1800” and clicks “Suggest”, and reads “Suggestion: Physical product · name «Phone photography book» · price 1,800 DZD. Check the type below, then create the draft.”. Below, “All types”: nine cards, each with a line and an example, “Physical product”, “Physical with variants”, “Digital product”, “Pack”, “Subscription”, “Service or session”, “Activation cards”, “Course access”, “Gift card”. Picking a card brings up the name field and the “Create the draft: …” button at the bottom; “Course access” asks “Choose the course” instead of a name, and a course already shown carries “in the store” and can’t be picked. The kind also decides how it sells: “Physical product”, “Physical with variants” and “Activation cards” travel in a parcel and are paid on delivery; “Digital product”, “Subscription”, “Service or session”, “Course access” and “Gift card” are paid in advance, since nothing ships; a “Pack” is accepted on delivery when it holds something that ships.

On screenNew productDescribe what you sellSuggestAll typesPhysical productPhysical with variantsDigital productPackSubscriptionService or sessionActivation cardsCourse accessGift cardCreate the draft: …

TipThe suggestion only reads words: “book” means a physical product, “PDF” or “template” a digital file. When Sofiane types “Lightroom filters 900” he reads “We could not tell the type from that. Pick it from the types below.” and picks “Digital product” himself. The kinds you usually sell come first under “Used recently”.

Heads-upNo button changes the kind after creation. The one exception: a “Physical product” becomes “Physical with variants” as soon as you add an option under “Options”. Otherwise, create a new product of the right kind.

  3. Step 3 of 9

Other ways in: a draft, a copy, the camera, a course, an import

Under the kinds, “Unfinished drafts”: each draft with its name, kind and date, and “Continue” takes you back to it. On the side, “Other ways into the same editor”. “Copy an existing product”: search and click “Copy”; everything is copied except stock, link and sales. “From the phone camera” → “Photograph a product” opens “Product from the camera” in three screens: “Photo and type” (one photo or more, “Physical with variants” or “Physical”, the name), then “Price and stock” (price and cost, sizes and colours, weight), then “Review”, with a preview, the list of what blocks publishing, “Publish now” or “Open the full editor”; the draft exists from “Next: price and sizes”. “From a course”: for each course, “Sell its summary” (a digital product linked to the course, which its students see first) and “Show it in the store” (the course access as a product). And “Import”: paste CSV lines with name, price, stock and weight; the valid lines are counted, then “Create … drafts”, and each line becomes a physical product in your drafts.

On screenUnfinished draftsContinueOther ways into the same editorCopy an existing productFrom the phone cameraPhotograph a productProduct from the cameraPublish nowOpen the full editorFrom a courseSell its summaryShow it in the storeImportCreate … drafts

TipOn his phone, Sofiane photographs the tripod he sells at his workshops: two photos, “Physical”, then the price 2,400 DZD and the weight, and “Publish now”. On this screen stock is set only with two buttons, − and +; for a large number, type it in the full editor. From the products list, “Import” goes straight to the import box.

Heads-up“Facebook catalogue: coming soon.”: no import from Facebook yet. The import reads at most 100 lines at a time and only creates physical products without photos: add their photos before publishing.

  4. Step 4 of 9

The editor: one shape for every kind, and every keystroke saves itself

After “Create the draft: Physical product”, the editor of “Phone photography book” opens. Its head shows the name, the kind (“Physical”) and the status (“Draft”); under it, the save line: there is no save button, every change leaves on its own, and the line reads “Saving…” then “Saved automatically …”; without a connection, “Offline · your changes are kept on this device”, and everything leaves when the network is back. Beside it, “Nobody sees it until you publish”. Under the head, a bar of sections that jumps to each one, with a red dot on any section that is missing something; for a physical product: “Photos”, “Name and description”, “Options”, “Stock and shipping”, “Ways to sell”, “Category and links”, “Link and search”. In the side column: “Status and visibility”, “Price”, “What the buyer sees” (a preview in your academy’s colour, “Phone” or “Computer”) and “Ready to publish?”. The only orange button is “Publish”: in the head on a computer, in the bottom bar on a phone.

On screenSaving…Saved automatically …Offline · your changes are kept on this deviceNobody sees it until you publishPhotosName and descriptionStock and shippingWays to sellCategory and linksLink and searchStatus and visibilityWhat the buyer seesReady to publish?Publish

TipThe kind swaps sections, never the shape. “Digital product”: “Files”, “Versions”, “Sample”, “Pricing”, “Licence”, “Access period”, “Protection” and “Delivery” (the digital products lesson). “Pack”: “In the pack” and “How it splits” (the packs lesson). “Subscription”: “Price and period”, “What arrives” and “Renewal”. “Service or session”: “Session”, where Sofiane sets his workshop at 3,500 DZD, “120 min”, a “Group” of 12 “people”, and links it to an offer from “Bookings”. “Activation cards”: “Cards” and “Weight and shipping”. “Course access”: “Course” and “Store price = course price”. “Gift card”: “Gift card” and its amounts.

Heads-upIf you close the page before the last change has left, it stays on this device (for a week at most) and comes back on your next visit with “We brought back changes your last visit had not sent; they are saving now.”: reopen the product from the same device.

  5. Step 5 of 9

    Photos, name, category and link

“Photos”: up to 8, the first is the “Cover”; “Photo” uploads from the device, “Shoot” opens the camera on a phone, and each photo has a button to make it the cover and one to delete it. Anything that ships needs a photo to publish: “At least one photo for a shipped product: it is the first thing the buyer sees.”. The “Name” takes up to 140 characters, the “Line under the name” is optional, the “Description” warns you under 30 words, and the “Key points” show ticked at the top of the product page’s “Details” tab: Sofiane adds “120 pages” and “Exercises after every chapter”. In “Category and links”: “Category” (or “No category”), “Manage categories”, which opens “Categories” to add and order your shelves, “Tags”, and “Linked to a course”: Sofiane picks his course “Phone Photography Basics”, and the book shows on its page and first in its students’ portal. Last, “Link and search engines”: the search result preview, the “Link” after /store/, the “Search title” (60 characters) and “Search description” (160), filled in from the name and description if you leave them empty.

On screenPhotosPhotoCoverNameLine under the nameDescriptionKey pointsCategoryManage categoriesLinked to a courseLink and search enginesLinkSearch titleSearch description

TipA name in Arabic gives, at publishing, a link made of a short code (like p-3f9a12c4). Write a readable Latin link that is easy to share, like phone-photo-book: Latin letters, digits and dashes only; if it is taken you read “That link is already used by another product in your store.”.

Heads-up“Manage categories” is only for people with “Store and products”, and “Deleting a category does not delete its products: they stay without one.”. Changing the “Link” after publishing breaks what you have shared: “Changing the link after publishing breaks links already shared: change it carefully.”

  6. Step 6 of 9

Price and profit, stock and weight

In the side column, “Price”: Sofiane types 1,800, “Before discount” 2,200, shown struck through in the store with “Save 400 DZD” on the product page, and “Cost” 950 (what he pays the printer); he reads “Your profit 850 DZD per piece” and “47% margin”. If the price drops below cost, “You lose … per piece” shows with a “Raise to …” button. Then the “Stock and shipping” section: he turns on “Track stock” and types 40 pcs in “Stock”; “Warn me at” stays at 5, so the list shows “… left” once five copies remain. The “Packed weight” is required, since “Delivery price per wilaya is computed from it.”; he clicks, under “Common weights:”, “200-page book · 450 g”. The “Per-order limit” is optional (he sets 3), like the “Parcel size”. Below, “When it sells out”: “Show it crossed out + «Tell me when it's back»” (the default), “Accept pre-orders” or “Hide it from the options”.

On screenPriceBefore discountCostYour profit … per pieceTrack stockStockWarn me atPacked weightCommon weights:Per-order limitParcel sizeWhen it sells outAccept pre-ordersHide it from the options

TipA new product starts with untracked stock: it sells without limit, and the list shows “Not tracked”. Changing the price after publishing does not touch what is sold: “Existing orders keep their price; the new price applies from now.”, and the change is written in “Edit history”. A digital product has no “Cost” field, and the price of a subscription, a session, cards or a course is typed in its kind’s own section.

Heads-upAfter publishing, the “Stock” field locks: “Live: change it from «Stock moves» below”. And a new weight only applies to new orders: “The new weight applies to new orders; parcels already created at the carrier do not change.”

  7. Step 7 of 9

“Ways to sell”: pre-order, limited edition, the waiting list and “Stock moves”

The “Ways to sell” chip leads to “When stock is not ordinary” (physical products and packs). “Pre-order”, “Sell it before it leaves the printer”: once the 40 copies are gone and the second edition is at the printer, Sofiane sets “Expected shipping” to 2026-11-20 (required to publish), an “Order cap” if he wants, and how the buyer pays: “Pay in full on delivery”, “500 DZD deposit now, the rest on delivery” with the “Deposit” (the default, “Fewer refusals at the door”), or “Pay in full now”; underneath, the sentence the buyer reads: “The buyer sees: pay 500 DZD now and 1,300 DZD on delivery. Ships around 2026-11-20.”. “Limited edition”, “A stated number that is never repeated”: the “Total” and “Sale ends”, and a “sold of … · … left” counter shown to buyers while “Show the counter to buyers” is on. “Tell me when it's back” counts the people who asked to hear, with their names and wilayas; as soon as someone waits, “Stock arrived?” and the “Tell them now · …” button appear. After publishing, stock only moves through “Stock moves”: “No new number is typed: you write what happened”; pick the reason (“Received”, “Damaged”, “Count”, “Return”, “Other”), the quantity and a note, then “Record”, and each line carries the name of who recorded it.

On screenWays to sellWhen stock is not ordinaryPre-orderExpected shippingOrder capDepositLimited editionTotalSale endsTell me when it's backTell them now · …Stock movesReceivedRecord

Tip60 copies arrive from the printer: Sofiane picks “Received”, types 60 and “Printer’s invoice”, reads “0 → 60” before pressing, then “Recorded. Stock is now 60.”. “Count” records what you actually counted, “Damaged” takes away, and stock never goes below zero. A limited edition, though: “On the last sale it becomes «Sold out for good» and is never restocked.”

Heads-upWhile “Pre-order” is on with a shipping date, every order is treated as a pre-order and takes nothing from stock, even when there is some. Turn it off once the edition arrives and you have recorded it in “Stock moves”.

  8. Step 8 of 9

    “Ready to publish?”, then “Publish”

The “Ready to publish?” card counts the required items (“4 of 4” for the book) and lists what is missing first; each item has a “Go” that jumps to its field. The items follow the kind: for the book “At least one photo”, “Name”, “Price · 1,800 DZD” and “Shipping weight”; for “Lightroom filters”, “File uploaded”; for the workshop, “Session length” and “Places”. Below, “Suggestions that do not block publishing”, like “A description of at least 30 words”. If you press “Publish” while something is missing: “One thing blocks publishing.”, “The draft is saved as it is, and nobody sees it.” and “Go to the first”; on a phone the list opens in a panel from the bottom. Once it is complete, a “Publish «…»?” panel says “The checklist is complete. This is what changes when you press.”, then “Website store” (with its link, or “Its link is made from the name”), “Student portal” and “Course page”, each “Shown” or “Not shown”. Sofiane presses “Publish now” and reads “Published. It now shows where you chose.”; “Schedule instead” takes him to the publish time.

On screenReady to publish?GoSuggestions that do not block publishingPublishGo to the firstPublish «…»?Website storeStudent portalCourse pageShownNot shownSchedule insteadPublish nowSend for review

TipIn a school, a teacher selling with “Sell their products in the school store” sees “Send for review” instead of “Publish” when the school reviews its sellers’ products, and the “Send «…» for review?” panel. Then: “Sent for review. It appears in the store once the school approves it.”, with the status “Awaiting the school's review”; any edit to the draft puts it back at the start of the queue.

Heads-upThe panel’s “«Order now» and the cart · cash on delivery · every wilaya” line is a fixed reminder shown for anything that ships: it reads neither the “Order now” and “Cart” switches nor the wilayas you really serve, which are set in “Carriers and rates”. And the checklist runs again on the server when you press: a link taken by another product at the same moment can still refuse the publish.

  9. Step 9 of 9

After publishing: status and visibility, pause and archive

The “Status and visibility” card has four buttons: “Draft” (nobody sees it), “Published”, “Scheduled” (pick a time and click “Schedule”; you read “Publishes itself: …”) and “Hidden”, with two choices: “Hidden · link only” (“Not listed in the store; anyone with the link can reach it”, and “Copy link” appears in the head) and “Students only” (“Only in your students' portal”). Below, “Shown on”: “Website” and “Student portal” switch on and off with a click, and “Course” takes you to “Linked to a course”; then the “«Order now»” and “Cart” switches for this product alone (not shown for a gift card). Once live: “Pause”, with an optional return date, takes it off sale, and “Publish again” puts it back; “Archive” takes it out of the store while keeping it in reports, and “Back to draft” brings it back. The same actions live in the list: each row’s ‹⋯› menu (“Open the editor”, “Copy as a new product”, “Pause”, “Archive”) and checkboxes that open a bar with “Pause”, “Archive” and “Back to draft” for several products at once. “Delete” is only for a draft that never sold: “Delete «…»?”, then “Delete” or “Keep it”.

On screenDraftPublishedScheduledHiddenHidden · link onlyStudents onlyCopy linkShown on«Order now»CartPausePublish againArchiveBack to draft

TipSofiane turns off “Website” for “Lightroom filters” and keeps “Student portal” and the link to his course: only students of “Phone Photography Basics” see it. In the list, the “Shown on” marks stay honest: “Website” lights up only for a published product, and “Student portal” never for a “Hidden · link only” one.

Heads-upA paused product leaves the store list, but its link still opens for anyone arriving from an ad or a message: its photo, name and price with no buy button, “Temporarily unavailable” and its return date if you set one, and a field where the visitor leaves a number to be told. And the return date shows next to the status (“until …”) without putting it back on sale by itself: press “Publish again” on the day.

Questions

Why is there no “Delete” for my product?

“Delete” only shows for a draft that never sold. A product that sold or has orders cannot be deleted: “Archive” takes it out of the store and keeps it in records and reports, and “Back to draft” brings it back whenever you like.

Can I change a product’s kind after creating it?

No button does that. The one exception: a “Physical product” becomes “Physical with variants” when you add an option (a size, a colour) under “Options”, and turns back when you remove them. Otherwise, create a product of the right kind; “Copy as a new product” keeps the same kind.

I scheduled a product and the time has passed: why is it still “Scheduled”?

The store and the student portal sell it from that moment, with nothing more to do; but the status written in the dashboard stays “Scheduled”, and the product sits under “Published & scheduled”. To read “Published”, press “Publish now”.

I paused a product until a date: does it come back by itself?

Not in this version. The date you pick with “Pause” shows next to the status (“until …”) as a reminder, but nothing publishes it again automatically. On the day, open the product and press “Publish again”.

Are the people waiting told automatically when I add stock?

Not yet. The “Send automatically on restock” switch is saved, but a “Received” line in “Stock moves” sends nothing and holds no piece for 24 hours. Tell them yourself with “Tell them now · …”: people with an account get a notification on the platform, and the others’ phone numbers are listed so you can message them on WhatsApp.

How does the buyer pay: on delivery or in advance?

It depends on the kind. What ships (“Physical product”, “Physical with variants”, “Activation cards”) is paid on delivery to the carrier, except a “Pre-order” with a deposit or full payment now. What does not ship (“Digital product”, “Subscription”, “Service or session”, “Course access”, “Gift card”) is paid in advance, before it is handed over: a BaridiMob or CCP receipt, or a card if your academy has a payment provider. A “Pack” holding something that ships is accepted on delivery. If a buyer orders the book and the filters together, they pay the filters in advance and the book at the door.
