Packs and subscriptions: credit bought ahead, and a weekly slot paid monthly

“Packs and subscriptions” are two ways to pay ahead. A **pack** is credit in time, bought for less and spent on the services you choose, until a date you set. A **monthly subscription** holds the same day and hour every week for the learner, paid by the month. The learner keeps their place and pays less; you are paid ahead. In this lesson Salim Bouzid at “Al-Ofok Academy” sells a “4-session revision pack” at 9,000 DZD instead of 10,000, which Amina in Ouargla buys; and a “Fixed weekly slot” at 8,000 DZD a month for four sessions, which Youcef subscribes to every Thursday at 18:00. The same works for a fitness coach selling 8 sessions or a marketing coach selling a weekly follow-up.

  • About 7 minutes
  • 6 steps

Who can do it: With “Own bookings” you sell packs spent with you; with “All teachers' bookings”, packs for every service in your scope.

In 6 steps

  1. 1The page: a card per pack (sold, active holders, expiring soon) and a card per monthly subscription with its subscribers.
  2. 2“New pack”: number of credits, length of one credit, what it is spent on, price, validity, then “Publish pack”.
  3. 3Learners buy it on the booking page under “What are you buying?”, then book “From your credit” with no payment; the credit expiring soonest goes first.
  4. 4The monthly subscription comes from a “Fixed weekly slot” service: price and sessions in the service, payment grace and freeze in “Subscription rules”.
Show all
  1. 5The subscription’s life: a notice 3 days before the paid period ends, then grace, then the end; the learner skips, moves, pauses or cancels.
  2. 6Unused credit expires on its date and is a liability, not income, until the session is given; pausing and deleting don’t touch what was sold.

Before you start

  • At least one published service with a time (a pack is spent on services): “A pack is spent on services. Create a service first.”.
  • For a monthly subscription: a “Fixed weekly slot” service with its monthly price and number of sessions.
  • Payment methods on in your store: packs and subscriptions are paid through the store’s engine, with no commission.
  1. Step 1 of 6

The page: what was sold, who holds it, what expires soon

A card per pack and per monthly subscription, and at the top how many paid sessions haven’t been given yet.

    • The pack cardPrice per session, saving, validity, three numbers, and the holders with what they have left.
    • The subscription cardPrice per month, and subscribers with their day, time and subscription state.
    • What expires soonCredit expiring within two weeks is counted at the top and flagged on its holder.

TipBefore your first pack you read: “A pack is credit bought ahead and spent on your services: “4 sessions for the price of 3.5”. The learner keeps their place, you are paid ahead.”.

    All the details

Open Packs and subscriptions from “What you offer”. At the top: “6 paid sessions not used yet ≈ 13,500 DZD” and “1 credit expires within two weeks”, with the “New pack” button. Each pack has a card: its name, “Paused” or “In the store” when that applies, the line “2,250 DZD a session · save 10% · valid 90 days from purchase”, the price and, under it, the struck-through original price. Then three numbers: “Sold”, “Active holders”, “Expiring soon”. Then “1 credit = 60 min · spent on” with the services and what each costs (“1 credit(s)”, or “0.5 credit(s)” for a 30-minute session). Then “Holders”: Amina, her dots and what she has left, with “until 24 October” flagged because it falls within two weeks. At the bottom, “Edit” and “More” (“Pause sales” or “Put back on sale”, and “Delete”). Each monthly subscription has a card too: the service’s name, “2 subscribers · 2,000 DZD a session” and “8,000 DZD / month”; “Sessions / month”, “Payment grace” and “Freeze”; then subscribers with their day, time and state: “renews”, “in grace”, “frozen”; and the buttons “Subscription rules”, “Open the service” and “Stop new subscriptions”. With no subscription yet, a line at the bottom says: “A monthly subscription holds a fixed weekly slot. It is created from a “Fixed weekly slot” service.”.

  2. Step 2 of 6

“New pack”: credit in time, on the services you choose

Credit is counted in time: a 60-minute credit pays a one-hour session, or two half-hour ones.

    • One credit30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, and 1 to 60 credits.
    • Spent onTick the services; beside each, what it costs in credits.
    • Price and validityThe price in dinars, validity from 30 to 180 days or “No expiry”.

TipSalim picks 4 credits of 60 minutes on the “Private revision session” (2,500 DZD on its own), at 9,000 DZD and valid 90 days: the learner saves 1,000 DZD, and Salim is paid four sessions ahead.

    All the details

Press New pack and a side sheet opens: “Credit bought ahead, spent on your services”. “Name” (say “8-session pack · prep”). “Number of credits” (4 to start, up to 60) and “One credit”: 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. “Spent on”: tick the services the credit pays for, with what each costs beside it (“1 credit(s)” for a session as long as the credit); “Credit is counted in time: a half-hour session takes half of a one-hour credit.”. “Price” in dinars, and “Valid for”: 30, 45, 60, 90 or 180 days, or “No expiry” (90 to start). And the “Also shown in the store” switch — “Otherwise sold from the booking page and the student portal only.”. At the bottom, a sentence as the learner will read it: “The learner pays 9,000 DZD, that is 2,250 DZD a session, and spends 4 credits of 60 minutes. Instead of 10,000 DZD (save 10%). Valid 90 days: until 11 January if bought today.”. The struck-through price is worked out by itself from the price of the service as long as the credit. Then “Publish pack”, and you read “Pack published”. Editing a pack with holders says: “… what they bought keeps its terms; the change applies to new purchases.”.

Heads-upA teacher’s pack is spent with that teacher only; a pack valid with any teacher in the school is made by someone with “All teachers' bookings”.

  3. Step 3 of 6

How a pack is bought, and how credit is spent

It shows at the payment step of the booking page; after that the learner books “From your credit” with no payment.

    • What are you buying? The session alone, or the pack, with this session as its first.
    • With an accountBuying a pack and booking with credit both need the learner to sign in.
    • Soonest to expire firstThe credit that covers the service and teacher, soonest to expire first.

TipAmina in Ouargla buys the pack with her first session on Thursday 22 October at 18:00, so 3 credits remain. For the next ones she pays “From your credit”, with no transfer to make.

    All the details

On the booking page, once the learner picks a time in a service a pack covers, the payment step asks What are you buying?: “This session alone”, or the pack with its line “4 sessions · 2,250 DZD each · valid 90 days · this is the first”. They pay for the pack with your store’s methods (card, BaridiMob or CCP receipt, gift code, or from abroad); once the payment is approved, the credit is written to them and this booking is paid from it first. Buying a pack needs an account: “Sign in first to use credit or buy a pack.”. Next time, under “How do you pay?”, they find “From your credit” — “4-session revision pack · no payment” — and the booking is confirmed at once, unless the service waits for your approval. Which credit is spent? An active credit that hasn’t expired, covers this service (and this teacher when the pack belongs to one), and has enough minutes for the session; if they hold several, the one expiring soonest goes first. The session’s minutes are taken: a 60-minute session uses a whole 60-minute credit. In “My sessions” the learner sees their credit: what is “left”, “Expires 24 October · in 11 days”, and a “Book with it” button. If they cancel in time, credit comes back under your policy.

On screenWhat are you buying? This session aloneHow do you pay? From your creditleftBook with itMy sessions

Heads-upCredit isn’t used if its minutes don’t cover the session: “Your credit isn't enough for this session.”. The learner is then offered another way to pay.

  4. Step 4 of 6

The monthly subscription: a fixed slot every week

It comes from a “Fixed weekly slot” service; the learner picks their day and time once and pays the month.

    • What the learner picksA free time in your hours, which becomes “Every Thursday · 18:00”.
    • Price and sessionsIn the service editor: “Monthly price” and “Sessions a month”.
    • Subscription rulesPayment grace (3 days) and freeze (14 days) to start with.

TipRania in Paris subscribes to Saturday 10:00 Algiers time: she sees “11:00 your time · 10:00 Algiers time” until 24 October, then the gap changes when France changes its clocks, and her slot stays put in Algiers time.

    All the details

A subscription isn’t created on this page: create a Fixed weekly slot service in “Services”, with its “Monthly price” and “Sessions a month” (Salim: 8,000 DZD for 4 sessions, “That is 2,000 DZD a session.”), and its card appears here by itself: “The price and sessions per month live in the service editor.”. A weekly service starts as “Private link”: you send its link to whoever you like. On its page the learner picks a free time in your hours, reads “Every Thursday · 18:00”, chooses “The monthly subscription” and pays, signed in. The first session is the time they picked, and as many weeks as sessions a month are paid: Youcef picked Thursday 8 October, so he has 8, 15, 22 and 29 October, “paid until 5 November”. His sessions are made by themselves five weeks ahead inside the paid period, each “From the subscription”. If a week’s time gets taken before its session is made, that week becomes credit for him and he gets “Your weekly slot is unavailable this week — credit added”. Subscription rules opens a sheet: “Payment grace” (0 to 14 days) — “The slot stays held 3 days if the month’s payment is late.” — and “Freeze” (up to 60 days) — “The learner can freeze up to 14 days (exams) and keeps the slot.”. And “Stop new subscriptions” stops the sale; subscribers keep their slots.

Heads-upDon’t remove the weekly service while it has subscribers: their next sessions are live bookings. Stop new subscriptions and let the paid period run out.

  5. Step 5 of 6

A subscription’s life: renewal, grace, and what the learner does

Three days before the paid period ends a notice goes out; in “My sessions” the learner skips, moves, pauses or cancels.

    • 3 days before the end“Your weekly slot renews soon”.
    • Grace, then the endAfter the paid period, “in grace” for the days you set, then “ended”.
    • ManageSkip this week, move this week only, pause, cancel the subscription.

TipBefore the mock bac, Youcef pauses his subscription for two weeks: the 22 and 29 October sessions aren’t made, and he is “paid until 19 November”.

    All the details

On your side: three days before the paid weeks end, the learner gets “Your weekly slot renews soon”. If they end without a renewal, the subscription turns “in grace” for you and “waiting for renewal” for them, they get “Your weekly slot has lapsed — renew to keep it”, and no new sessions are made; after the grace days it turns “ended”. On the learner’s side, in “My sessions”, a card “Your weekly slot · active”: “Every Thursday · 18:00”, “paid until 5 November”, and a “Manage” button opens “This week” — “What you change here is for this week only, except pausing and cancelling.”: “Skip this week” — “You keep a session to book whenever you like.”: that week’s session becomes credit valid until 60 days after the paid period ends; “Move this week only” to another free time, without changing the standing slot; “Pause” for a week or more, up to the “Freeze” you set: those weeks’ sessions aren’t made and are added at the end of the paid period, and “Resume” brings it back before the pause ends; “Cancel the subscription” — “It runs until 5 November, then doesn't renew.”. You are notified when they skip or move a week, and the time frees up in your calendar.

On screenin graceWeekly slot · waiting for renewalendedMy sessionsManageThis weekSkip this weekMove this week onlyPauseResumeCancel the subscription

Heads-upA pause longer than the “Freeze” is refused (“The pause is longer than allowed.”): with the starting value of 14 days, that is two weeks. Skipping and moving are accepted up to your policy’s reschedule notice (6 hours before the session by default).

  6. Step 6 of 6

Credit that isn’t used: validity, liability and pausing

What was sold and not given yet is owed, not earned; what isn’t used by its date expires.

    • Expires on its dateWhat is left goes to zero and the learner’s ledger says “Expired”.
    • Owed, not earnedIt becomes revenue the day the session is given, not the day it was paid.
    • What was sold staysPausing, deleting or editing never touches credit already bought.

TipLook at “Expiring soon” every week: a short message to a learner with two sessions expiring in ten days brings them back, and turns what you owe into a session given.

    All the details

Credit with a validity expires on its date: what is left goes to zero and its ledger says “Expired”. Before that, the learner sees it in “My sessions” (“Expires 24 October · in 11 days”), and you see it flagged on its holder in the card, counted at the top (“1 credit expires within two weeks”), and on “Home” under “Paid sessions not used yet”: “≈ … received for time not given yet”. That money is owed, not earned: in “Reports”, “This is owed, not earned: it becomes revenue the day the session is given.”; each session from the pack counts for the teacher who gave it, on the day it was given. What was sold no longer changes: “Pause sales” — “Sales paused; credit already bought stays”; “Delete” — “Removed from the list; credit already bought stays”; and an edit applies to new purchases. To make it up to a learner or fix their credit, use “Grant credit” in “Learners”: it is written in the ledger under your name, with the reason.

On screenExpired1 credit expires within two weeksPaid sessions not used yetPause salesDeleteGrant creditLearners

Heads-up“No expiry” means a session can be asked for a year later at the old price. For discounted packs, 90 or 180 days is fairer to both sides.

Questions

Is the pack sold in my store?

It sells from the booking page and the student portal. If you turn on “Also shown in the store”, it shows in your store as well (as long as its services are public). Either way it is paid through the store’s engine and methods, with no commission.

Can one pack cover a one-hour session and a half-hour one?

Yes. Credit is counted in time: “a half-hour session takes half of a one-hour credit.”. Tick both services under “Spent on”: the first costs “1 credit(s)”, the second “0.5 credit(s)”.

I changed the pack’s price — does anything change for people who bought it?

No: “what they bought keeps its terms; the change applies to new purchases.”. The same goes for pausing or deleting it: “credit already bought stays”.

What happens to credit after its date?

What is left goes to zero and the learner’s ledger says “Expired”. To give them a session afterwards, use “Grant credit” in “Learners”, with a reason.

How does a learner pause their weekly subscription during exams?

In “My sessions” → “Manage” → “Pause”, up to the “Freeze” set in “Subscription rules” (14 days to start with). Those weeks’ sessions aren’t made and are added at the end of the paid period; the slot stays theirs.

What if a learner doesn’t renew?

They get a notice three days before the paid period ends. After that, the subscription is “in grace” for you for the “Payment grace” days (3 to start with), with no new sessions, then “ended”, and the time frees up.

Does a learner need an account to buy a pack?

Yes: “Sign in first to use credit or buy a pack.”. Credit and subscriptions are tied to their account, so they find them in “My sessions” on any device.
