# How to sell a single live with a ticket

> A product-photography workshop on Thursday night, a live editing session, a Q&A with your followers: you sell it on its own, without building a course. That used to go through the showcases’ “Sell a live session” wizard; now a live you sell is a **Paid live** in Lives: you set its price and number of tickets, its page on your site becomes a sales page, buyers pay through your store, get registered by themselves and receive the reminders. Today the workshop runs on your Google Meet or Zoom link, with no replay from us: the replay comes with the Dirassa+ room, “Soon”. Nesrine Haddad, a marketing and content coach, sells the “Reels in an hour” workshop at 1,200 DZD.

- Time: About 3 minutes
- Who can do it: Whoever schedules lives (“Own live classes” or “All teachers’ live classes”). In a school with approval on, a paid live publishes once the director approves.

## In short
1. “Sell a live session” became the “Paid live”: the old address opens “New live” on that kind.
2. “With a ticket” under “Who is it for?” and the “Ticket price”, then “Number of tickets” and your students’ price under “More”, then “Publish the live”.
3. The live’s page on your site sells it: “Workshop ticket”, “Buy the ticket” and the tickets left.
4. Buyers pay through your store and are registered by themselves: “Your ticket is confirmed”, calendar, reminders (the replay comes with the Dirassa+ room, “Soon”).
5. Share the link, and show the workshop in your site’s “Coming lives” section.
6. Follow sales on the live’s page and its invitees; refunds on cancellation go through the store’s orders.

## Before you start
- Payment methods enabled in your store: the ticket is paid on the same checkout.
- What you’ll deliver, in a few lines, for the live’s page.
- In a school: whether paid lives need the director’s approval.

## The steps

### 1. Where “Sell a live session” went
Selling one live used to go through the showcases’ “Sell a live session” wizard, which made a live-course and its showcase. In the new Lives, a live you sell is a kind of its own: Paid live (for ticket holders). The wizard’s old address now opens New live on that kind, and the old “Sell this live” link opens that live’s page. A paid live brings everything a sale needs: a page on your academy site, a ticket sold from your store, the buyer’s registration and reminders. Today it runs on your Google Meet or Zoom link, until the Dirassa+ room opens.
On screen: «New live»، «Paid live»، «For ticket holders»
Tip: Selling a run of lives? A “Series” with one ticket for every episode fits better than a ticket per live.

### 2. Price, number of tickets, your students’ price
In Schedule (from “New live”): the title, then under “Who is it for?” With a ticket (sold from your store, registration included), which makes it a “Paid live”, and the Ticket price in dinars; then the time in Algiers time with the clash warning, and your Google Meet or Zoom link. Under More: Number of tickets (empty for unlimited), “Price for your students” (below the ticket price, paid by people with a student account in your academy), “Price before the discount” (shown crossed out above the price), “In the store too” (the ticket among your products) and the “Description” that convinces. Beside it, “What visitors see” shows the booking button with the price. Then Publish the live. In a school with approval on, it stays a draft “Waiting for the director” and no ticket sells before they approve.
On screen: «Schedule»، «Who is it for?»، «With a ticket»، «Ticket price»، «Number of tickets»، «Price for your students»، «Price before the discount»، «In the store too»، «Publish the live»، «Waiting for the director»
Heads-up: On a Meet or Zoom link (every live today) we don’t record the live: don’t promise buyers a replay unless you record from your meeting and give it to them yourself.

### 3. The live’s page sells it
The live’s page on your academy site is its sales page: the kind “ticketed workshop”, the title and time in Algiers time (and the visitor’s own abroad), the countdown, “What you'll leave with”, “What to have ready”, “About this live” and “Who explains”. And the Workshop ticket card: the price, the workshop live with your questions on air, the replay line, a reminder a day and an hour before, and the Buy the ticket button. When 20 tickets or fewer remain, the count shows, then “Sold out”. On a phone, a bottom bar with the price and the button. After the live, the same page becomes the replay for buyers.
On screen: «Workshop ticket»، «Buy the ticket»، «Sold out»

### 4. What happens for the buyer
Buy the ticket opens your academy store’s checkout: buyers pay with the methods it accepts, and the ticket goes to their account. The order needs an account: visitors read “The ticket goes to your account at the academy.” with “Have an account? Sign in”. Once paid (at once by card, or after the receipt is confirmed like any store order), the buyer is registered for the live and you’re notified; their card becomes Your ticket is confirmed with “Add to calendar” and the reminders. They find the live under “Live” in their portal, join it with their account through the same link, then watch the replay per its window. Buyers can’t cancel their ticket from the page.
On screen: «Buy the ticket»، «The ticket goes to your account at the academy.»، «Have an account? Sign in»، «Your ticket is confirmed»، «Add to calendar»
Tip: Youcef in Oran pays by BaridiMob: he uploads the receipt photo, Nesrine confirms it in the store’s orders, and he gets “Your ticket is confirmed”.

### 5. Share the link, and show the workshop on your site
Copy student link (the ticket page: whoever buys gets in) and post it wherever your audience finds you: Instagram, Facebook, a Telegram channel, a message to your students. In your site editor, the Coming lives section shows the workshop as a card: its date, “ticketed workshop”, its price and “Buy the ticket”; it hides itself from visitors when nothing is coming.
On screen: «Copy student link»، «Coming lives»، «Buy the ticket»
Tip: Nesrine runs a free live a week before the workshop and pins the workshop’s link at the end: whoever enjoyed it buys a ticket without leaving.

### 6. Follow the sales
Every ticket sold is notified to you. On Home, the live shows its ticket count; in its settings, sold out of the total; the invitees show every buyer, who wrote a question, and who is abroad with their own time. After the live, “Audience” shows who came and who caught up by replay. If you must Cancel the live, every buyer is notified, but you refund them yourself from the store’s orders.
On screen: «Invited»، «Cancel the live»
Heads-up: Cancelling doesn’t refund tickets automatically: refund each buyer from the store’s orders.

## After the sale
- Registration and reminders: Everything visitors see before and after buying: the “Public lives and tickets” lesson.
- Workshop day: Studio, stage and questions: the “On air” lesson.
- Payments and receipts: Confirming a ticket’s receipt like any order: the payments desk lesson.
- Who came: Attendance by the minute and replay: the “Audience and reports” lesson.

## Questions

**Where did “Sell a live session” go?**
It became the “Paid live” in Lives. The old link opens “New live” on that kind, with everything a sale needs (page, ticket, registration, reminders, replay).

**Does the buyer need an account?**
Yes: the ticket goes to their academy account. They sign in or create an account at checkout, then join the live with it.

**Does the buyer get the replay?**
On a Meet or Zoom link (every live today) we don’t record the live, so there’s no replay from us: if you record from your meeting, give it to them yourself. In the Dirassa+ room, once it opens, they see it per “Replay available”: always, 7 days, 30 days, or as long as they’re a student.

**Can I cap the number of tickets?**
Yes, under “More” › “Number of tickets”. The tickets left show from 20 down, then “Sold out”.

**What if I cancel the workshop?**
Every buyer is notified, but nothing is refunded automatically: refund from the store’s orders.
