# Sell your courses to students outside Algeria

> Your students in France, the Gulf or Canada see your prices in their own currency and pay by PayPal or bank transfer, while nothing changes for your students in Algeria. It all happens in one tab, with one question per currency. Every field is explained here, with one example: “Mathematics — Bac 2026” at 4,500 DZD sells for €39.

- Time: About 10 minutes
- Who can do it: Requires the Payment settings permission in your role at the school.

## In short
1. Open Settings → Selling abroad and add a currency with “Add currency”; the dinar stays your home currency.
2. Answer one question: how much does your reference offer sell for in the new currency? Every other price follows from it.
3. Check “Prices by currency”: each offer is “Automatic”, “Custom” or “Not offered”.
4. Add bank transfer details for each currency, or connect PayPal with a Client ID and Secret.
5. In “Countries and languages”, set the fallback currency, the countries you don’t sell to and the site language.
6. Your student abroad sees their price in their currency and pays; you review transfer proofs in Incoming.

## Before you start
- At least one paid offer: a priced course, one-to-one sessions, a paid community or a digital product.
- The Payment settings permission in your role.
- A way to receive money from abroad: a bank account in that currency, or a PayPal Business account.
- The price that suits students in that country for your main course, not a literal exchange-rate conversion.

## The steps

### 1. Currencies: the dinar stays the base
Open Settings, then the Selling abroad tab. Its first card, “Currencies”, lists the currencies you sell in outside Algeria; the dinar always stays your home currency and your dinar prices don’t change. Press “Add currency” and pick from the list, such as the euro, the dollar, the Moroccan dirham or the Saudi riyal, up to 12 currencies. Each currency gets a row: its symbol, its ratio to the dinar, the rounding, the payment methods ready for it, and a switch to turn selling in it on or off. The currency you make the fallback in “Countries and languages” carries the “Fallback currency” badge.
On screen: «Selling abroad»، «Currencies»، «Add currency»، «Currency»، «Fallback currency»، «Confirm removal»
Tip: Visitors in Algeria see no change: dinars and local payment methods stay exactly as they are.
Heads-up: Removing a currency only stops new sales in it; past orders stay as they are.

### 2. One question prices every offer
The “Add a currency” panel asks one question: “how much do you sell this offer for in the new currency?”. The offer picked for you is your priciest course outside subscriptions; you can choose another from the list. Type your answer in “I sell it for”, for example “Mathematics — Bac 2026” at 4,500 DZD → €39. The answer becomes a ratio (every 1,000 DZD = 8.67 €) that prices every other offer, rounded by your “Rounding”: “Charm prices” like 19, 29, 49, “Round numbers” in multiples of 5, 10 or 50, or “No rounding”. The “Price preview” shows the result before you press “Add currency”. Enter the price that fits students there, not a literal exchange-rate conversion.
On screen: «One question: how much do you sell this offer for in the new currency?»، «I sell it for»، «Rounding»، «Charm prices»، «Round numbers»، «No rounding»، «Price preview»، «Add currency»
Tip: In numbers: with the answer €39, a monthly subscription at 1,500 DZD becomes €12 with charm prices, €15 with round numbers and €13 with no rounding.

### 3. Prices by currency: automatic, custom, not offered
The “Prices by currency” card lists every offer by group: “Courses”, “One-to-one sessions”, “Paid communities” and “Store”, with each one’s dinar price underneath. If you sell in more than one currency, pick the currency from the bar at the top. Every row starts “Automatic”: a price worked out from your ratio, which follows your dinar price when you change it. Type a number to make it “Custom” and fixed, clear it to go back to automatic; the switch beside it stops selling that offer in this currency, which becomes “Not offered”. A row saves when you leave its field. Three special cases: an installment course sells abroad as one full payment; a subscription course keeps only the plans priced in this currency; a printed product stays “Ships within Algeria only”.
On screen: «Prices by currency»، «Automatic»، «Custom»، «Not offered»، «Not published»، «Ships within Algeria only»
Tip: Example: “Physics — Bac 2026” at 3,000 DZD works out at €25; type 29 and it becomes “Custom”, and it no longer moves even if you change its dinar price.
Heads-up: An offer “Not offered” in a currency shows its dinar price to that currency’s visitors.

### 4. How a student abroad pays: bank transfer and PayPal
Abroad there are two ways to pay today: bank transfer and PayPal. Transfer is set per currency: open it with the edit button and, under “Bank transfer (optional)”, fill in “Account holder name”, “Bank name”, “IBAN or account number”, “SWIFT / BIC” and “Extra instructions” (Wise or Western Union, for example). Transfer is ready once there’s a holder name plus an IBAN or instructions. PayPal is one card for every currency: sign in to developer.paypal.com with your Business account, create an app under “Apps & Credentials”, paste the Client ID and Secret, then press “Connect PayPal”. Money lands straight in your PayPal account.
On screen: «Bank transfer (optional)»، «Account holder name»، «Bank name»، «IBAN or account number»، «SWIFT / BIC»، «Extra instructions»، «Client ID»، «Secret»، «Connect PayPal»، «PayPal connected and on»
Tip: PayPal takes currencies such as the euro, the US dollar, the pound, the Canadian dollar and the Swiss franc, but not the Moroccan dirham or the Saudi riyal; for those, add a bank transfer.
Heads-up: A currency with no payment method shows “No way to pay in this currency yet…” and stays hidden from students. Card payments (Stripe) are not enabled on the platform right now.

### 5. Countries and languages: who sees which currency
The world is open by default: each visitor sees their own currency when you sell in it, and the “Countries and languages” card only sets the exceptions. First, the fallback currency: “Visitors from countries whose currency you don't sell in see prices in”, for example the euro, or leave it on “Algerian dinar”. Next, “Countries you don't sell to”: their visitors only see dinar prices and cannot pay in a foreign currency. Last, “Site language by country”: a first visit from abroad opens in the visitor’s language when your site is published in it; add a country to change its language. Each change saves on its own.
On screen: «Countries and languages»، «Algerian dinar»، «Countries you don't sell to»، «Choose a country…»، «Site language by country»
Tip: Example: you sell only in euros and make it the fallback: 21 countries are covered by the euro directly, and a visitor from Canada or the UAE sees euro prices too.
Heads-up: Algeria cannot be blocked: its visitors always see dinars and your local payment methods.

### 6. What your student abroad sees
A visitor in France opens your course page and sees €39 instead of 4,500 DZD; she can change the currency at the top of the page. To buy, she signs in and reaches “Complete your purchase”: the price in her currency, the duration if the course is a subscription, then “Payment method”. With PayPal she presses “Pay €39” and pays from her account; the order is confirmed as soon as she returns and her access opens. With bank transfer, “Show transfer details” shows “Transfer €39 to this account:” and an order reference to write on the transfer; she then uploads the proof and presses “Send proof for review”. If she hasn’t transferred yet, she cancels from “Change payment method or cancel the order”, then “I have not paid — cancel”.
On screen: «Complete your purchase»، «Payment method»، «PayPal»، «Bank transfer»، «Show transfer details»، «Send proof for review»، «Change payment method or cancel the order»، «I have not paid — cancel»
Tip: The proof reaches you in Sales → Incoming → “For you”, under “Receipts to check”, as “Bank transfer” with the amount paid in her currency, such as “Paid €45”: “Check receipt” opens the order, “Approve” opens her access, “Reject” asks her for a valid proof. This needs the Approve payments permission.
Heads-up: The methods you choose in a course’s Payments tab are for Algeria and don’t apply abroad.

## After setting up selling abroad
- Review transfers: Transfer proofs from abroad wait for you in Incoming, under “Receipts to check”.
- Follow sales abroad: The “Sales outside Algeria” card in analytics: sales at their dinar value, and what was paid “By currency” and “By country”.
- Set up payments in Algeria: CCP, BaridiMob, Chargily and cash on delivery, in the Payments tab of Settings.

## Questions

**Does anything change for my students in Algeria?**
No. Visitors in Algeria see dinars and the local payment methods exactly as before, and your dinar prices don’t change.

**Can a student abroad pay by bank card?**
Not yet. International card payments (Stripe) are not enabled on the platform right now; the ways to pay from abroad today are PayPal and bank transfer.

**Why don’t students see a currency I added?**
A currency with no payment method doesn’t show to students. Add a bank transfer to it (holder name with an IBAN or instructions), or connect PayPal if PayPal takes that currency, and check that selling in it is switched on.

**If I change a course’s dinar price, does its euro price change?**
Yes if it’s “Automatic”: it’s always worked out from your ratio. A “Custom” price stays as you typed it. A student who has started an order keeps their price: it’s locked when the order starts and never changes after.

**How are installment or subscription courses sold abroad?**
An installment course sells as one full payment. A subscription course shows only the plans priced in the visitor’s currency; the student picks the duration, then pays.

**Where does PayPal money go, and are my credentials safe?**
Straight to your PayPal account, not the platform. We check the Client ID and Secret with PayPal before saving them; the Secret is stored encrypted and never shown again.

**How do sales abroad show in my accounts?**
Every order from abroad counts at its dinar value set by your prices, so it adds up with your sales in Algeria. The “Sales outside Algeria” card in analytics shows what students actually paid in each currency.
