# Sales: what the money number counts, and where every dinar came from

> The money number in **Analytics** is called **Confirmed sales**, with one definition: every order you approved or whose online payment was confirmed, and every activation card used at its batch price, on the day of confirmation in Algiers time. The home page reads the same number. The “Sales” tab breaks it down: what you sold, how it was paid, where the orders stand, and how much came from outside Algeria. The example: “En-Nadjah Academy” from 6 September to 5 October 2026, **30,200 DZD** from 8 sales: Sara Makhloufi’s course “Video editing from scratch” at 4,500 DZD, “Editing project review” packs, a paid community and two activation cards sold through a bookshop. A photographer selling workshops or a language teacher selling sessions reads the same numbers.

- Time: About 6 minutes to read
- Who can do it: The “Sales” tab and the money card need “Revenue figures” (owner and admin; the default teacher role doesn’t have it). With “View school-wide analytics” you see every kind of sale; without it, your own courses’ sales only.

## In short
1. Definition: an approved or online-paid order, an activation card used at its batch price, on the day of confirmation in Algiers time.
2. What you sold: courses, sessions, paid communities, the store, activation cards; then the best-selling courses.
3. Payment methods: the same money by method, from CCP and BaridiMob to online payment and cards.
4. Order status: orders created in the period by their current status; waiting ones don’t count as money.
5. Abroad: sales abroad in dinars, what was paid in each currency, and transfers waiting.
6. Home: the revenue figure in “Your numbers” reads the same definition for the whole school.

## Before you start
- The “Revenue figures” permission: without it the “Sales” tab doesn’t appear.
- At least one payment method turned on: see the “Payment methods” lesson.
- Orders approved on time in “Incoming”: a receipt waiting doesn’t enter sales until it is approved.
- For activation cards: a “Code price (DA)” on every batch in “Cards”, or its cards don’t count.

## The steps

### 1. What confirmed sales count
Open Analytics → the Sales tab. At the top, the definition as the page writes it, then four cards: “Confirmed sales” with the comparison, “Sales” — “Confirmed orders and used cards” —, “Average sale” — “Sales ÷ number of sales” — and “Previous period” with its amount. Three things go into the number: (1) every order you approve after a CCP or BaridiMob receipt or a transfer; (2) every order paid online and confirmed: EDAHABIA and CIB through Chargily, or PayPal from abroad; (3) every activation card used, at its batch’s “Code price (DA)”, on the day it was used — except a card that came with a “Card on delivery” order: the order is what counts, so the money isn’t counted twice. All of it on the day of confirmation, Algiers time, not the day the order was created. For Sara: 30,200 DZD, 8 sales, an average of 3,775 DZD, against 25,000 DZD in the previous period. What doesn’t count: an order awaiting review, rejected or cancelled, a free enrollment, an enrollment or sessions you add by hand without an order, a card from an unpriced batch, and money you took outside the platform.
On screen: «Analytics»، «Sales»، «Confirmed sales»، «Confirmed orders and used cards»، «Average sale»، «Sales ÷ number of sales»، «Previous period»، «Code price (DA)»، «Card on delivery»
Tip: Approve receipts every morning: a receipt transferred on 28 September and approved on 2 October counts in October, not September.
Heads-up: Confirmed sales aren’t net profit: neither Chargily’s or PayPal’s fee, nor teacher pay, nor money you give back to a student outside the platform is taken out.

### 2. What you sold: money by kind, and the best-selling courses
The What you sold card — “Confirmed sales by kind.” — splits the amount into five kinds, each on a line with its bar, its value and its share of the total: “Courses”, “One-to-one sessions”, “Paid communities”, “Store”, “Activation cards”. A kind with no sale doesn’t show. For Sara: “Courses” 13,500 DZD (45%), “Activation cards” 9,000 DZD (30%), “One-to-one sessions” 6,500 DZD (22%), “Paid communities” 1,200 DZD (4%). Next to it, Best-selling courses: the top 8 courses with their money in the period; a course’s money joins its orders and its used cards: “Video editing from scratch”, 22,500 DZD. Mind the scope: this full split is for those who see “Whole school” on “All courses”. When you pick a course or a teacher at the top, only course sales count, orders and cards, since sessions, communities and the store don’t belong to a course: with “Video editing from scratch” the number becomes 22,500 DZD.
On screen: «What you sold»، «Courses»، «One-to-one sessions»، «Paid communities»، «Store»، «Activation cards»، «Best-selling courses»
Tip: If “Activation cards” are a big part of your money, check each batch’s “Code price (DA)”: that is what counts, not the course price.
Heads-up: In the “Team” tab each teacher carries only their courses’ money: sessions, communities and the store don’t appear on their row.

### 3. Payment methods: the same money, by method
The Payment methods card — “Confirmed sales by payment method.” — splits the same amount by method, with the page’s names: “CCP”, “BaridiMob”, “Online payment” (EDAHABIA and CIB through Chargily), “Activation card”, “Card on delivery”, “Bank transfer” and “PayPal” for selling outside Algeria, and “Manual”. For Sara: “CCP” 9,500 DZD (31%), “Activation card” 9,000 DZD (30%), “Online payment” 7,200 DZD (24%), “PayPal” 4,500 DZD (15%). The difference between the two cards: “Activation card” is a card a student used, counted at its batch price; “Card on delivery” is a delivered order paid to the courier, whose card, once used, doesn’t count a second time. This card answers a practical question: the bigger the online-payment share, the fewer receipts you review by hand.
On screen: «Payment methods»، «CCP»، «BaridiMob»، «Online payment»، «Activation card»، «Card on delivery»، «Bank transfer»، «PayPal»، «Manual»
Tip: Encourage EDAHABIA: it confirms itself on the spot, so your student doesn’t wait for your approval and your money doesn’t wait in the queue.

### 4. Order status: what is still waiting, what was rejected
The Order status card — “Orders created in the period, by their current status.” — counts orders, not money: every order created in the period, by its status now: “Paid”, “Awaiting review” (a receipt waiting for your approval), “Pending” (the student started but sent no receipt or didn’t finish paying), “Rejected”, “Cancelled”. Activation cards aren’t orders and don’t show here. Mind the dates: money counts on the day of confirmation, orders here on the day they were created. For Sara: “Paid” 6, “Awaiting review” 1, “Pending” 1, “Rejected” 1. The “Awaiting review” order is a CCP receipt Ines Hamdi sent on 5 October for 4,500 DZD: it isn’t in the 30,200 DZD yet. Approve it from “Incoming” (“Check receipt” under “Receipts to check”) and it enters sales on the day of approval, and turns “Paid” here.
On screen: «Order status»، «Paid»، «Awaiting review»، «Pending»، «Rejected»، «Cancelled»، «Incoming»، «Check receipt»
Tip: Many “Pending” orders are students who started paying and didn’t finish: a short message the next day brings many back. Their orders are in “Incoming” → “With the student”, marked “Waiting for receipt”.
Heads-up: Analytics has no refunds and no net figure: money you give back to a student outside the platform stays counted in sales.

### 5. Sales outside Algeria
If you sell in other currencies, the Sales outside Algeria section — “In dinar value by your prices, and what students paid in each currency, unconverted.” — appears under the cards whenever the period has an order from abroad or a transfer waiting. Four numbers: “Sales abroad” — “In dinars, by your prices” —, “Share from abroad” — “Of all sales in the period” —, “Confirmed orders”, and “Transfers to review” — “Now, whatever the period”. Below, a table per currency: “Currency”, “Orders”, “Paid” in its currency as the student paid it, unconverted, and “In dinars” at your price’s value. For Sara: a student in Lyon paid for “Video editing from scratch” by PayPal: “Paid” 30 EUR, “In dinars” 4,500 DZD, inside the same 30,200 DZD; and a bank transfer from Belgium in euros waits for her review. The “Currency prices” link at the top of the section opens the international-selling settings. A school with no prices in other currencies and no sale abroad doesn’t see this section.
On screen: «Sales outside Algeria»، «Sales abroad»، «Share from abroad»، «Confirmed orders»، «Transfers to review»، «Currency»، «Orders»، «Paid»، «In dinars»، «Currency prices»
Tip: Money from abroad counts in dinars at your price, not at the exchange rate on the day: a student in Lyon and a student in Oran are compared in the same currency.
Heads-up: A bank transfer from abroad waits for your approval like a CCP receipt: it doesn’t enter sales before that.

### 6. The home page reads the same number
On the home page, the “Your numbers” card opens with “October revenue”: sales since the 1st, with the change “vs the same days of September”, and small bars for the last 30 days under it, day by day. The figure and the bars read the same definition as the “Sales” tab, for the whole school, in Algiers days. So on 5 October: “October revenue” equals “Confirmed sales” in “Analytics” on “This month” with no filter, 4,500 DZD for Sara; and the thirty bars are the days of “30 days”, totalling 30,200 DZD. If you see a gap, it’s a course or teacher filter in “Analytics”, or the “My courses” scope. The figure itself, and “All figures” at the top of the card, open “Analytics”; to download the daily series in dinars: “Export CSV” there, column “Confirmed sales (DZD)”.
On screen: «Home»، «Your numbers»، «All figures»، «Analytics»، «This month»، «30 days»، «Export CSV»، «Confirmed sales (DZD)»
Tip: For a quick tally the home page is enough; to know where the money came from, open “Sales”.
Heads-up: The home page follows neither the “Analytics” filters nor your scope: it always shows the whole school. A teacher with “Revenue figures” but without “View school-wide analytics” sees the whole school’s money on the home page, and their own courses’ in “Analytics”.

## After reading your sales
- Approve receipts daily: “Incoming” every morning: money enters on the day of approval.
- Price your card batches: A “Code price (DA)” on every batch in “Cards”.
- Steer students to online payment: Turn on EDAHABIA and CIB: the “Payment methods” lesson.
- Sell outside Algeria: Prices in your students’ currency and their payment methods: the “Sell outside Algeria” lesson.

## Questions

**Are confirmed sales my profit?**
No. They’re what was sold and confirmed, before anything is taken out: no payment fees, no teacher pay, no costs. Analytics has no net figure.

**Do refunds show?**
No. The platform doesn’t record money given back to a student. Whatever you return outside the platform stays counted in sales; keep a note of it.

**Why doesn’t a receipt a student sent yesterday show?**
Because it’s “Awaiting review”: money enters on the day it’s approved, not the day it’s sent. You already see it in “Order status”, and you approve it in “Incoming”.

**Does a free enrollment, or one I added by hand, count?**
No: no paid order, no money. The student counts in “New enrollments”, not in sales. Sessions you grant by hand into a balance don’t enter sales either.

**Why don’t activation cards my students used show up?**
Because their batch has no “Code price (DA)”, or because they came with a “Card on delivery” order, which counts instead. Price the batch in “Cards”: its used cards then count at that price, older ones included.

**Why did the number change when I picked a course?**
Because with a course or a teacher only course sales count: the course’s orders and cards. Sessions, communities and the store come back with “All courses” and “All teachers”.

**Are sales abroad converted at the exchange rate?**
No. Each order from abroad counts at its dinar value by your prices, and what was paid in each currency is shown as is, with no conversion and no adding across currencies.

**Can I export sales order by order?**
Not from “Analytics”: “Export CSV” gives each day’s total. Orders one by one are under “Payments log” → “Transactions” (from “Incoming” → “More” → “Payments log and export”), and its “Export” downloads them.

**Why don’t I see the “Sales” tab?**
Your role doesn’t have “Revenue figures”. The owner and admins have it; the owner grants it to anyone under roles.
